    At the end of the day, this was just a two hour episode of Psych. And I mean that in truly the greatest way possible. They also found the sweet spot of time that passed, about 3-4 years, where we really miss one of the best bromances on television, but not so long that they felt that needed to spend too much time explaining what everybody's been up to.

    If I'm being honest I was worried going in, because I felt like psych legitimately had a real dark horse candidate for GOAT series finale, we got a lot of closure, some satisfying goodbyes, and pretty much everybody got their happy ending, and so I worried that this would somehow cheapen it, but it really doesn't. And that's because the series finale wasn't a real goodbye. It wasn't a definitive "the end" the end of that episode was literally a "and the adventure continues." This was just the continuation of said adventure.

    Closing thoughts, Psych the movie can be summed up like this: it's an old friend that you cherished deeply, you haven't seen them in a few years and you think it's going to be awkward and you may have grown apart, but five minutes in and you're already sharing those inside jokes and laughing like you did all the way back in 2006. And yeah, when they grab their keys, they say they hope to see you again some time down the road, you feel a little sad, but deep down you're thankful you can add this fun memory to all the others.    … Expand

    Psych oozes fun, and this movie is no different. It was great to see most all of the cast back in action again, solving crimes in their own special way.

    I've read they were planning on releasing more Psych movies after this one, so hopefully we'll get some new material in the (near) future. Because the movie made me realise even moreso that I miss seeing this cast every week.

    The main appeal of the movie is what drew viewers to the show--snappy dialogue, a truly great bromance, and enough references to satisfy the most obsessive of pop culture geeks.

    Three years may have passed, but Psych's return doesn't feel "too-soon" or in any way tired. It feels like a just-right dose of cheer at the holidays, even if it's only tied to them by timing and some Christmas trees in the background.

    Its brand of zany, self-referential comedy isn’t for everyone. But those who enjoyed the USA series in the past will likely revel in more of the same in this fizzy outing, in part because the main characters actually care about each other, and the cast does a fine job of conveying that.
