Season 2 of Powers saw an improvement in production values, acting and story development, it still lacked in the SFX department, but its better than last season. The relationship between Walker and Pilgrim is one of the best things about the show. It is a police procedural at its core and you have to care about the cops doing the investigating. The decision to use a story from the comic was the best decision made by the producers, it gives the show an anchor going forward even with the finale. I'd like to see a season 3 with better SFX, smoother story flow and more stories from the comics. I think Powers season 2 is good not great, but very entertaining. Expand

Season 2 of "Powers" is largely an improvement over season 1. It is still wildly uneven, but for me that's part of its charm. As was the case in season 1, its strength lies with its villains. The standouts this season were Wil Wheaton, who was excellent as Conrad Moody, and Robin Spriggs, who was nothing short of sensational as Morrison, aka The Ghost.

Powers needs focus, and it needs to understand what works and what doesn’t for their characters. The series has done a better job of juggling its characters and themes this season, but it still can’t come close to what we’ve been seeing with Marvel’s Netflix foray or CW’s The Flash.
