Great first episode with a twist that I definitely did not see coming. Kylie Bunbury is fantastic as the lead. Mark-Paul Gosselaar is great as well. I'm definitely in for the entire season.

terrible, unless your brainwashed by the feminist propaganda coming from hollywood and the regressive left. Why must everything on T.V. be such sh*t?

I thought the pilot was very promising. Kylie Bunburry and Mark Paul Gosselaar really sold their roles well. I'm not crazy about baseball, but surprisingly, my favorite parts were the scenes on the field.

This show grabbed me from the start because of its unique premise and its realism. It's plausible that a very talented woman could work her way into the MLB, so it's interesting to see how that might play out. The writing is good and touches on most of the issues that would likely arise. The acting is solid, especially Kylie Bunbury as Ginny Baker. The final twist was a little cheesy. But overall a compelling first episode that makes me want to follow the main character's nascent career and see her do well. Expand

One and done. While I do find the writing to be okay, I just didn't find the show good enough to continue watching every week. For it to be more believable that this person was able to make it to THE SHOW you need a women that has as close to if not a better throwing motion. It appears as though they worked with the actress on the motion, but in TV today you need a little more than whatOne and done. It's a great show, good characters, funny jokes, plot twists and an incredible baseball athmosphere, that suits the diehard baseball fan.
    So far, so very good!

I was not expecting very much from a show around the world of baseball... but three episodes in, and this show has enough layers, depth, surprises and twists to draw me in and keep me guessing & wanting more.

Really good scripting and feel to the whole show, the overall production is great and improves with each show. The casting is excellent and the characters feel very real, likeable,

I like the plot and the characters. The writing is good and it was very interesting to find out her dad wasn't at her first game. I'm definitely in for the season!!!

Too bad the pilot simultaneously tries too hard and not hard enough. The actors are mostly good, and a few are terrific.

As played by the relative newcomer Kylie Bunbury, Ginny is a delightfully flinty and occasionally nervy champ to root for, and she helps Pitch’s pilot episode overcome some of its biggest clichés through sheer charm, even if the show’s long-term future is murkier.

Pitch” does a lot of things right in its first hour, especially in the buildup to her first game. Anyone looking forward to relishing the image of a woman in uniform standing tall on a mound for a professional baseball game should get goosebumps when she does. But those feelings are quickly betrayed by the exaggerated manner in which Baker blows up.
