Trying to like this. I really am. In several episodes, he enters situations without a plan. How many lucky breaks can he get? Seems like it gets good and then falls again. Not missing it these last few weeks of not watching. So ...

Most of the villains have redeeming qualities and its difficult to truly hate them. The character of Bet Sykes played very well by Paloma Faith is one of the best on the show. Some story lines are a little weak, but overall its very entertaining. The sets of mid century modern and Victorian England blend well and are beautiful, as is the costuming. I Enjoy the dark humor moments and little oddities that pop up as background to the scenes. Expand

This is a gem of a tv show. Didn’t even know it existed until I found it on amazon. Probably the best show DC have done. Some great acting and characters, Paloma faith is fantastic as bet

I delight in all the things hinted at but left unsaid, the different course of history is integral to the story, but it's not the story itself. It answers, in part, the question of how, if Gotham is a dark and different part of the US, the rest of the world might also be changed.

Absolutely outstanding

as a stand alone, this is a strong story line with a depth of story. if people are complaining while looking for a " batman feel" they have never picked up a comic book and read a back story. very good series and hope they continue many seasons.

Thoroughly enjoyed this 'batman's butler' prequel. Set in an alternate 60's England with a great performance by the lead player. Where else could you see Paloma Faith getting doggied by a beefeater in the tower of London !?!

The plot armor is thick in this show. We know that Alfred must survive to buttle for Batman, but plausibility would have been nice. Perhaps that will be added for Season 2?

Gets better as the seasons progress and I ended up really loving it. Good writing with lots of action and fun. Didn't end well because it was cancelled, but only really needed a couple more episodes to tie it all together.

3 seasons in and the series gets better and better. I had my doubts about Gotham, but watched it to the end. Bruno Heller following that up with a Batman pre-prequel? Ridiculous. Heller's involvement is perhaps the only reason I watched3 seasons in and the series gets better and better. I had my doubts about Gotham, but watched it to the end. Bruno Heller following that up with a Batman pre-prequel? Ridiculous. Heller's involvement is perhaps the only reason I watched something that sounded as silly as Pennyworth.
Worth it. Great cast. Fun writing. Great alternate history themes.
Not a 10, but waht is?
