    Let me start by saying - I didn't even know this show existed, but now I'm obsessed with watching every episode. I caught what I think is the 8th season last week, or the second half of season 7....And when i started watching season 1 (bought HD on amazon) Every act comes into the theatre to perform but not this most recent season airing on tv in 2021.
    There are not a lot of shows on tv    Let me start by saying - I didn't even know this show existed, but now I'm obsessed with watching every episode. I caught what I think is the 8th season last week, or the second half of season 7....And when i started watching season 1 (bought HD on amazon) Every act comes into the theatre to perform but not this most recent season airing on tv in 2021.
    There are not a lot of shows on tv like this. It not only gives a platform where any kind of magician can come perform it also is really fun to watch and think you have an idea of how they do a trick...and see if you're correct. Penn & Teller rarely get fooled but they are professionals and they shouldn't.
    All in all its a great show that has little downside. You get exactly what you'd expect from a show where magicians try to fool a Magician Team that's been around for almost 50 years. Yes, I just looked it up....Penn & Teller have been performing for like 48 years or something crazy....almost every year they have a different big thing they've done....it looks like they've never even gotten in a fight or taken a break. So this show is pretty much a way that new kinds of magic and magicians can showcase their act on tv and get seen....Very few have been bad or poorly done and that's probably the productions hard work in finding good acts to put on tv.
    Season 7B is even BIGGER since they have acts from all over the world. Probably because of Covid, but it makes the show even better since everyone knows that the 7billion people on the planet mostly do not live here in the US. So you get to see 3 or 4 great acts and then Penn & Teller usually perform an amazing trick with all of their charm at the end of the show.
    I can't believe I haven't been watching this show for the last 6 years and only binged it recently because...what else is there to do when quarantine is on!    … Expand
