This show is utter trash and Cena doesn't deserve to get his own show. It is just vulgarity and pointless boring dialogue trying to be 'edgy'. What a load of garbage.

This show is always trying so hard to be funny, it makes you cringe with all those terrible jokes that feel like they were written by a teenager with bad taste.

This show is pretty good in a classic James Gunn way. He uses a misfit team to fight shapeshifting aliens just like in Slither or Guardians of the Galaxy.

How does a terrible character from a crappy movie get his own show? Hollywood needs to stop giving Jon Cena jobs. This "show" is just a bad as the movie, if not worse. A bunch of talentless nobodies surrounding another talentless loser!

Great show, very much a similar vibe to suicide squad which i think they were going for. Got good comedy at times as well. Definitely worth a watch

Hard PASS!! I couldn't even get through the 1st episode. Acting is horrible and the main character doesn't make any sense. How this was conceived and passed to 'air' is totally baffling. From the ridiculous "dancing" intro to the disgusting misogynistic attitude of the lead character, this whole premise is deplorable! When his dad spoke, I cringed at his use of vulgar expletives and wondered how this could be accepted as dialog in todays sensitive anti-racist environment. When you throw in the miserably failed attempts at comedy, it easily makes this show a hard pass for me!

The trailer for the show had me wanting more, however, the 1st episode had me groaning in pain and running for the exit. I expected better from DC but, after watching other DC series, I've come to see that their lack of imagination is the norm. With repetitive storylines and eye-rolling "predictable" script lines, DC seems to be in much need of an injection of better writing talent!

This is now my absolutely favourite TV show ever. Me and my girlfriend both became obsessed with this show. pretty much binging it over a weekend. It just nails every aspect perfectly. It develops the characters, find new ways to tell jokes, visually awesome, gripping story, and makes you want to watch just one more episode. James Gunn is a genius, it's the only explanation. The performances from John Cena, Jennifer Holland, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Robert Patrick, Steve Agee, Chukwudi Iwuji, Annie Chang, and Nhut Le were phenomenal. The visual effects especially the "Butterflies" and the "Cow" were outstanding. The fight choreography and fight scenes were awesome especially the season finale fight. The music was great. This first season was an A+ for me. Expand

From what I've seen already, I know that this series is gonna be a blast. The humor in combination with the action us bang on. I like how they give Peacemakers feelings and you see he's actually a pretty vulnerable character. John Cena is great and I love Vigilante!

Weird, crass but ultimately hilarious and well written, this show follows on from the excellent The Suicide Squad movie and is the perfect vechile for James Gunn to show off his talent. John Cena continues to surprise and the title sequence is one of best I've seen and one you won't tire from.

The whole crew knocked it out of the park. No bad episodes, not even any weak episodes. Funny and dramatic they do both equally excellently.

I really am looking forward to more of the same.

    Thanks to all!

They took the worst character from the recent Suicide Squad film and gave him a show. Very limited comedy, Comedy that is geared for the mind of a 14 year old, and bland exposition, with gore and violence slathered in as filler. The thing that is genuinely funny is the Eagle and its just a stand in for Groot/King Shark.

All jamming out to an absolutely horrendous sound track of songs that were pop culture B sides even during their heyday. That being the whole late 80s, early 90s hair metal phase. Though a few modern tracks sprinkled in to blend it out such as BAND-MAID / Choose me which is one of the best tracks used in the 3 ep premier

Definitely a massive step down from what Doom Patrol is able to accomplish with comparative ease. Though far more violent than doom patrol.

The end of the 3rd ep sets up the premise of the show clearly and to be fair if future episodes focus more on the humor than the gore there is potential here. They just did a poor job illustrating it in its premier.

4.25/10 rounded down. Given that early January is obscenely light on content, will continue watching as a filler show with the hope it will get better. So basically a two week extended trial period to improve till better shows start/resume.

Edit: 4th episode was a modest improvement but not anywhere near enough to justify increasing the score. Still the same overall problems but the humor was at least a bit more balanced in this episode.

What the actual **** is going on? I mean, it's not a comic-show-renaissance, but after the huge success of The Boys, we had a WandaVision and an Invincible last year. And, I didn't expect a single **** from this series, but... damn, I disappointed in myself. James Gunn is truly the last chance of DC. The only guy who can make stuff like Peacemaker if he wants. So, is this show good? No, this is ****ing awesome! A literal miracle happened: it is funny! And, John Cena was great as Peacemaker. But some of the supporting characters were even better than him (yes, Vigilante, I meant you right there, the most brilliant superhero-psychopath on television after Homelander). There is so much personality in this show, right from the first crazy opening titles to the very ending. For me, its adult, yet childlike style suited it very well. Deserves an 8. Expand

A good television series, not on the level of The Suicide Squad movie, but still enjoyable to watch. Maybe because each character is functional in itself and therefore has a sense in the series? Or maybe because, after watching this TV series, I suddenly feel like adopting a pet eagle too? I don't know, it's still beautiful.

Christopher/Peacemaker’s un-PC humour and macho prowess often give way to a surprising soulfulness that’s beautifully played by the former wrestler, and while the swerves from mayhem into pathos are often breakneck, they’re always expertly steered. The same could be said for the show at large, which owes much of its addictiveness to Gunn and his cast’s commitment to keeping their audience off-guard.
