Parks and Recreation is a show that I think will receive even more attention after it has finished because I feel that the show and the characters are ahead of their time. The finale is very appropriate and is one that will trigger some emotions. I'm sad to see the show go but I'm happy that they chose to end it before the show got stale like many sitcoms have. Many of the cast have become more popular than ever after this show, most notably Chris Pratt and I'm glad to see where they go in the future. If you have been a fan of Parks and Rec watch the last season. You won't be disappointed. Expand

The show may jump forward 3 years from where the last season left off, but nothing has really changed with this excellent sitcom. The humor is still on point and plenty of emotional moments are present. Which is fitting given that it's the conclusion to this charming show.

It's hard to see it go, but I have to say I'm glad to see that it didn't overstay it's welcome. The last few

    I give it a 9.4/10.

Sad news...Parks and Rec has really jumped the shark this season. After watching 3 episodes and maybe laughing twice each episode I'm going to find it hard to even finish the season. What happened ? Did they cull the writing staff ?

Terrible way to send out an otherwise great series. I question whether I will be able to revisit previous seasons without a bad taste in my mouth. I was excited for Season 7, but now I wish they had just left it at six.

Season 7 was Michael Schur's emergency landing for a plane losing altitude. In my opinion it started in season 5 when Ann and Chris got back together. This then lead to Ann and Chris' departure from Pawnee, which consumed a lot of time and that lacked both worthy humor and sentiment. Combined with low ratings, the writers had no choice but to wrap it up.

So to end the show they decide make an 13 episode epilogue. Or you would think. The events over the three year span were resolved in 5 episodes. The rest of the season was a series of forced Romantic reunions of main characters and past guest stars, as well as laying the blue print of rest of their lives.
In essence the show is lost its purpose when no one worked at the parks department anymore. It was also annoying how Ben was offered to run for congress while Leslie wasn't even considered. But all that was overshadowed in the finale with a ultra epilogue that documented everyone's future success and failures. I questions what was the point of building up the three year epilogues if you are going to make it obsolete with epilogues from several decades from now. Also why did Craig get a section. He was only introduced in the previous season. I had little chance to become emotionally connected to him, especially when you include his annoying voice.

Six seasons in and, thanks to its excellent cast of characters and sharp writing, Parks and Recreation continues to be one of the most consistently funny and endearing comedies on television. Losing regular cast members Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe half-way through the season obviously hurt but the season finale was just fantastic!

‘Parks and Recreation’ is at an end – and it’s the conclusion we all wanted. It’s one of the most relatable tv-shows out there – full of positivity and humor. This series started falling flat for me after season 3. I still enjoyed many episodes, but far too frequently plots went beyond silly, and not in a good way. I thought Andy's character in particular was taken too far into the dummy plane, but damn it's still hard not to love him.

After finally finishing the series finale, it was all worth it. Wow, what a strong finish! Reminds me

After finally finishing the series finale, it was all worth it. Wow, what a strong finish! Reminds me quite a bit of the finale of "Six Feet Under." Putting the whole show into perspective (minus the Mark B character), it was an overall joyful experience to watch this series from start to finish. Oh, and Ron Swanson rules!

Parks and Recreation has finally reached it's final season and they went out with a bang. The jokes are better then ever in this season and with the perfect mixture of Story/Humor so you don't feel your sacrificing Storyline for Jokes. With the story taking place in 2017 it also allows them to make some speculation on the future that are quite funny.
They way they wrap up the ending for each character individually is perfect and gives you much more closer then the ending of "The Office"
If you enjoyed any season or any even any episode of Parks and Rec you must give this show your time, It's one of the greatest TV Shows I've seen to date and It's a show I know I'll re-watch over and over again.
And I'll miss this show for years to come.

It’s not a bad send off for such a fantastic show, but by what we’ve seen before, it definetely isn’t as strong as the it could of been. However, it’s still great

A few mediocre and genuinely unentertaining episodes kick off the season, but after that, the show picks up after and is generally entertaining and humorous, but not their best material. Everything ends happily and ties together well, with good humor, all that the fans should expect and hope for from the final season.

The season was weird, confusingly all over the place trying to cover 20 different things across many years in the future, overly sentimental, and not really funny. I am also a fan of the show as a whole, actually prefer it over The Office, which it's loosely based off of. I know the last few seasons of most TV shows tend to "jump the shark" and the characters become increasingly exaggerated. Expand

The time jump doesn't turn Parks into a new show (Leslie and Ben's triplets don't appear in a single frame of the first four episodes), nor does it dunk the series in some kind of comic fountain of youth, but it does provide a fresh enough start to get us through 13 more episodes without feeling like we've seen it all too many times before.
