This is a provisional review based on the first two episodes.

While I have no knowledge of their production, the first episode feels like it was originally a 2-hour movie that they were told had to air in a 1-hour time-slot. Instead of splitting it in two, they just cut half of the content. There are time jumps, characters appearing suddenly that you are assumed to already know, and

Instead of splitting it in two, they just cut half of the content. There are time jumps, characters appearing suddenly that you are assumed to already know, and lots of weird over-edited clues.
Still, there are the bones of a solid science fiction series here. A diverse group of students, including a clone, an alien from a race that had been at war with earth, a (weak) telepath, and a computer enhanced girl all going to Starfleet Academy (or whatever they're calling it).

Unfortunately, the lead is a girl who is the most important thing in the galaxy with a mysterious backstory even she doesn't know, and the second episode attempts to equate religion with small mindedness and hate.

I'll give this a short leash, but it is the CW, so it will probably drown in its politics before its potential is realized.

Seems this show was put together for the purpose of pandering to a small segment of society that defines itself as 'woke'. The story line is shallow , the acting is poor, unless the actors are intentionally trying to appear autistic , there is no drama or humor or development of character or passion or even curiosity. After two episodes the only elements that stand out are the'woke' ones.

There's no character I particularly liked, no relationship that seems particularly interesting and no mystery embedded in the pilot to which I'd like to get any answers. Maybe some people will tune in for Pandora and maybe they won't. It's better than The Outpost.

A show which feels like it desperately wants to be Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, or perhaps Star Wars: The College Years, but woefully misses the mark on both.
