Although animation is quite static it's still good looking. The plot is confusing but it has his charm and will make you want to know what's happening. Waiting for the second part.

There's not nearly as much hot kaiju on robot action as I'd hoped for. It's kind of a basic, straight forward anime.

The animation is dreadful. Voice acting is terrible. It's impossible for me to get into it like this.

This series is great. Watched all of it in two sessions. Very good character building and a simple but great plot. The action is faithful to the original movie and I actually cared about the characters. If it was all kaiju on robot action, itThis series is great. Watched all of it in two sessions. Good writing, doing for Pacific Rim what Mad Max Fury Road did for the Mad Max franchise, give it several new characters with deep back stories. I liked the fusion of hand-drawn and computer generated models.
