    Definitely one of the best shows at the moment. Story is unrelentingly captivating every episode and watching the characters develop overtime makes Ozark a must watch.

    Just fantastic. On the level of Breaking Bad, Sopranos, and The Wire. One of my favorites that's lost none of its mojo on re-binge. New season continues that tradition, and the only disappointment is that it's part 1. Can't wait to see how they resolve it.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So Robin Wright ruined the series just like she ruined the House of Cards. I don't think I will be watching another season if Robin Wright is going to be directing again. One thing I noticed, just like Quentin Tarantino has a thing about feet so does Robin Wright have a thing about older women dating young boys old enough to be their son/grandson. Season 4 is easily the worst season of the series but thanks to Robin Wright excellent pr team it has the highest rating here on metacritic.
    So Ozarks was always a somewhat mediocre version of Breaking Bad. What kept the show going though was Jason Bateman, Ruth aka Julia Garner- possibly the most lovable character of the show and then there were the kids. This season however the kids got a raw deal and especially the Jonah Byrde character was pretty weird. While Bateman and Julia Garner do get the majority screen time the mediocre storyline and direction is not enough to save the show from being a pedestrian affair. I mean seriously how dumb can this show get, the sheriff and a top local mob boss is killed and there is hardly a whisper, besides some silly missing person posters- seriously a missing person sign for a dead sheriff ? lol. The new sheriff walks into a crime scene that's in the process of being cleaned up by the perpetrators and she suspects nothing? lol. Robin Wright oh gawd smh    … Expand

    Season four picks up right after an emotional whiplash ending of season 3, and procedurally loses itself starting with Darlene and Wyatt's relationship. The absurdity of everything and the blue-sepia filter becomes difficult to connect with in this season. The believable and well written dialogue of prior seasons shifts to all your favorite characters becoming cartoon villain versions ofSeason four picks up right after an emotional whiplash ending of season 3, and procedurally loses itself starting with Darlene and Wyatt's relationship. The absurdity of everything and the blue-sepia filter becomes difficult to connect with in this season.     Two episodes in and I'm on the brink of losing my mind. I don't binge any show, but 'Ozark' season 4 is making me reconsider it. Anyway, the growing tension retains the series quality, and although some characters take some improbable decisions, let's hope it's for the sake of an explosive finale. Javi's inclusion hasn't convinced me yet — too out of nowhere for my taste —, but I hope itTwo episodes in and I'm on the brink of losing my mind.     Finally this is over, I guess. It's an endless circle of pain and death and I can't honestly believe that the authorities didn't put them away in season one. Good for TV these days, I guess.

    Ozark is a mediocre series that failed to live up to my expectations. The last season in particular was quite disappointing. Laura Linney's performance as the lead character became increasingly unbearable as the series progressed. The ending made little sense. Overall, I would not recommend this series to others.

    Laura Linney’s performance as Wendy is all the more chilling because her face says apple pie, but everything she does curdles into evil. Meanwhile, Jason Bateman’s Marty is a study in how far a pragmatic accountant can go into the depths of wickedness without the strain showing on his face.

    Ozark only gets better by the minute. If you need us, we’ll be waiting with bated breath to see how it all comes to a close. Ozark remains one of the best dramas on TV in its fourth season, a showcase for career-best performances from Bateman, Linney, and Garner.

    Splitting the final season is one of Netflix’s ploys to keep subscribers paying for longer. But it’s a strategy easily overlooked when the drama is this absorbing.
