Beautiful first meeting between father and daughter. Happy family reunion, good chemistry mother and daughter between Claire and Brianna. Problem is they shift from one topic to another too fast. The problem is the books are so rich in details, that it is difficult to adapt. But yet wonderful sight.

Too much sexual violence. I understand how vulnerable people were in those times to sexual assault and exploitation but now it seems like a device inserted to take the place of better writing. On the other hand the reunion of clair and her daughter and the introduction of an aged jaime to his daughter is a fantastic arc that reaps many if the best part of this show.

Outlander Season 4 is more interesting to watch when they have a purpose and a goal in mind.

Balfe and Heughan have been playing these characters for so long that their chemistry now feels as natural as breathing, and the show knows how to lay in just the right amount of tenderness without things getting overly sappy.

There’s still plenty to recommend in the fourth go-round of the popular Starz epic, including but not limited to its predictably lush cinematography, uniformly excellent costuming and production design, and performances that range from solid to remarkable. There’s also a hell of a good yarn to be spun.
