Summary:
The pilot ("A Darkness Surrounds Him") introduces the main character, Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit), a reclusive and haunted young man estranged from his family due to a dark episode that reminds him his childhood experience with his mother after she became possessed by a demon force. When the possession of young boy by evil proves too much for the local priest (Philip Glenister), curiosity draws Kyle to the battle and he begins to understand his role in the shadow war against the evil that took his mother and stole his chance for happiness.
