This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Orphan Black saw a small decline in quality of storytelling, as they tried to keep the mystery alive, but things kind of lost the appeal with yet another new "villain" revealed.. in season 1 it was the Dyad Institute. Then we learned that there was this project Leda and project Castor people who were the real bad guys.. now we learned that actually Neolution guys are the bad guys. It's like the are repeating stuff with a new enemy each season. I hope next season is not a complete let down (not saying this one is, but I feel like we are going that way). Maslany continues to be awesome. I really enjoyed the love triangle of Delphine/Cosima/Shay and I felt it fit well with the storyline, but I feel like Shay is not all that innocent like she seems. Paul was wasted this season and he was barely seen before his demise, which I felt was a shame. I love that Helena continues to be such a bad-ass crazy, but her escape from prison and killing of the drug lords was a bit too naive. But I did love that she found Jesse again. It was sweet. I didn't love the ending, not much is drawing me to watch next season, even though I will watch it. But after two seasons of excellence, season 3 was sub-par. Expand

Series 3 of Orphan Black has been massively disappointing so far. I hope it improves. Tatiana Maslany is her normal brilliant self but Ari Millen who plays the male clones is just terrible. Not since Finn Wittrock's abysmal performance in American Horror Story have we seen such dreadful over-acting.

Maslany is immensely talented. Still, the plot was all over the place at times, but there were some nice reveals. It was good for what it was, but I'm not nearly as excited for this show as I once was.

After a messy second season, Orphan Black comes back with a season that has a less confusing plot, but the thrilling moments we once had on the first season, are now gone. The show became a parody of itself, and now even Tatiana Maslany's talent can save this show.

    Pros:
+Tatiana Maslany continues to amaze me as she keeps outperforming herself.
+Ari Millen is quite underrated as he did a great job playing the male version clones.
+The plot arcs are excellent and entertaining from start to finish. The series long arc has also became more interesting than from the previous season.
+Excellent character development for not just the clones but for some of the main characters as well.
+Despite the show’s dark concept, the show continues not to take itself too seriously and balances its heavy scenes and light-hearted scenes excellently.

    Neutral:
.The season had a bit of a slow start but as the season progresses, the third season became the show’s best season.

"Orphan Black" burst unto the scene like a fascinating revelation two seasons ago. After an uneven sophomore season, the show returned Saturday to somewhat deepen the mythology. Tatiana Maslany remains an incredibly talented performer, deserving of an Emmy. But it remains to be seen if the show can get back the narrative magic it had in season one.

"Orphan Black" continues to be an acting showcase for Tatiana Maslany (who seriously deserves an Emmy). Where else do you find an actor playing every lead character in a show-- with each having a different appearance, voice and mannerisms? See Clone Dance Party as an example of her brilliance (and the stellar work of the special effects team). In my head, each clone is a different person."Orphan Black" continues to be an acting showcase for Tatiana Maslany (who seriously deserves an Emmy). See Clone Dance Party as an example of her brilliance (and the stellar work of the special effects team). In my head, each clone is a different person. There's Sarah, Alison, Cosima, Helena and Rachel (to name a few). The clones must rely on each other and a few friends/family (such as Felix, Mrs S, Delphine, Art, etc) in order to survive. Season 3 introduces us to the Castor (boy) clones. I'm not sold on them yet but I'll still keep coming back even if they arent my favorites. The clone mythology also can be confusing at times with Leda, Dyad, Castor, Topside, and the Proletheans. But again, I'll overlook that since I'm here for the clones. ClonePower! Expand

Most boring season until now. Almost all the episodes had zero narrative advance and it didn't get really interesting until the season finale. Enough to make you want to keep on watching.

Still studded with exceptional performances from tatiana and her foster brother Felix the third season slows down. Muddied with way too many storylines and not enough character development (the shows strong suit. ) it wonders listlessly through a few too many episodes that are seemingly still far from a resolution.

The chinks in the armor are starting to pop up story wise. Still entertains with some great performances.

In its third season, Orphan Black is both falling victim to its complexity and is all the stronger for it.

It’s always interesting--Maslany is particularly transcendent when she acts as one clone disguised as another clone, which occurs again in season 3, and the show even finds a way to introduce waterboarding into its already politically charged narrative. But Orphan Black lost its grip on the story sometime early in season 2, and introducing even more characters has not proven to be a way to reclaim it.

We enter the third season following a shocking discovery that adds a delicious new dimension to the series: Dyad is only one of two cloning projects.
