    Underrated. Yes, you can skip over most of the "Lost" style backstory flashbacks, because most really didn't add anything to the present narrative. Yes, this series probably isn't anything you haven't seen before. However, its very watchable and you will not guess who has the parasite. Overall, entertaining and worthy of a second series.

    First of all, this was very slow going. It seems that an ensemble piece has to have its cliches, and this series is no different. There were so many flashbacks.     First of all, this was very slow going. It seems that an ensemble piece has to have its cliches, and this series is no different. There were so many flashbacks. Each primary character had their flashback episode to fill us as to why they were there, on the ship in space. The episodes were repeats of shows we've seen before and although production values appear to be solid, the story just drags. I think the dragging feeling this show gives off is because the flashbacks are long, and they are often.

    I made the effort to like it but it was very boring and nothing could make me want to come back for more. I did make it through two episodes and am not going to be watching the rest of this series. I think if you don't mind the same old, same old, then you might enjoy this one. I don't have the heart to recommend it to anyone.    … Expand

    Slow, cliche and despite reasonably good actor play, the plot is full of the cheapest tricks in the book.
    I really wanted to give it a chance but ended up waiting for the forth episode to end in anticipation of searching for another show.

    A good TV series that mix scifi and mostly horror. A bit of drama coming from reality tv. I love the scifi aspect and horror. What i didn't like is how stupid some characters are acting in given situations, like they are plot driven. I like the backstories except for Katie which was a real drag. The last episode was delicious. The quality of the visuals and the sounds were amazing. I giveA good TV series that mix scifi and mostly horror. A bit of drama coming from reality tv.     This series is decent. The acting bothered me a bit, visually and the auditory was good, the story is generic but better than others. In conclusion, I felt good watching this show.

    Good Special effects, good plot and story, a dark atmosphere with a nice concept of a spaceship ( I liked the rotating levels simulating gravity)nice imaginative technologies with futuristic landscapes, well developed and well acted characters and a lot of suspense. I really enjoyed this Tv-show as I like sf series.

    Despite its narrative bloat and unrelenting violence, Origin fails to move the story forward in any genuinely exhilarating way, instead plodding through tedious character flashbacks that throttle the flow of the present-day action. ... Odiously derivative.

    The setting is contained but this cast is huge, and Watkins’ scripts don’t do enough to make anyone stand out for anything other than surface-level reasons.
