    The first season of Orange Is The New Black is amazing. It’s one of the shows that set the standard for streaming television. The characters and the plot is very well written as we get to see the characters backstories and the plot is very compelling and hilarious. Taylor Schilling gives a great performance as Piper managing to capture her character. Overall this season was a great startThe first season of Orange Is The New Black is amazing.     Dense dark dramatic comedy that pushes the envelope whilst raising the bar every time. It's inherently genuine look at the usually ignored criminal population allows for funny off beat situations and moments of raw emotion. A complicated story about a mislead naive girl evolves into a confused love story.

    This is a really great show from a producer like Netflix. I got hooked after the episode and have been binge watching since then.

    Esta temporada me entretuvo, me parece original la manera en la que se esta llevando la serie, vale la pena verla, mezclar adecuadamente diversión y drama no es nada facil y esta serie lo hace a la perfección.

    I just finished the second season and have to say that I loved this show. It really isn't the most interesting story ever told nether the most humorous show, but I liked it for the way it projects some anti-materialism ideas. I would say that this show is the exact opposite of "Sex & the city"

Taylor Schilling leads a talented cast, whose characters are delightfully idiosyncratic, if not a bit too caricatural. Unfortunately, most of these personalities are left completely or partially unexplored come the finale. While indicative of potential in future seasons, this doesSet within one of the more monotonous contexts, Orange is the New Black is, ironically, funny and poignant.     The drama is amazing but the occasional humor feels out of place, but the good drama makes up for it.
    Characters are above average, the story is really depressing and just like i said, the "good times" dont make up for it, if they would throw away the humor it would be much more fitting.

    I've watched a lot of shows/movies and see a lot propaganda shoved into scripts and it makes me sick at this point in 2017, the "political correctness" and lies, etc etc. How refreshing to see writers talk freely and openly about the real issues. Mentioning "Yippie" then later Abbie Hoffman reference. The anti-corporatism hidden in this show's script is ingenious and a real treat to watch.I've watched a lot of shows/movies and see a lot propaganda shoved into scripts and it makes me sick at this point in 2017, the "political correctness" and lies, etc etc. How refreshing to see writers talk freely and openly about the real issues.     This show had an extremely shaky start. The first season had maybe 3 really solid episodes that actually hook the audience. It did not help that the series followed/still follows Piper, who might be the most hated leading character since Ted Mosby in How I Met Your Mother.

It definitely helps to teach male audiences gender sympathy and better understand the psychology of women.     If I were able I'd give it an 11. The backstories in the latest season are will sear your soul as you watch, indifference or obliviousness to small tragedies pile up in the lives of women without the resolve, resources or understanding of how to cope.     This show is fantastic, the characters are lovable, developed and enthralling. Storyline wise there are tons of surprises around every turn. Forewarning though, the writers have a tendency of ending seasons on huge cliff hangers.

    At the beginning, I was a little bit unsure if I wanted to watch this TV show because some of my friends told me "yeah but sometimes it is a little bit shocking"... But I was right to watch it! I wasn't shocked at all. The characters are really touching and when one of the characters has to leave, I guess I felt like the others characters : sad. For me, it is a real clever and funny TV show.

For a show set in a women's prison, this is ALL about heart. It's refreshing, it's new, it's amazing.     Brilliant series! Sat down and watched the entire season over a couple of days during a holiday. It is full of interesting characters, is never dull and keeps a good pace throughout. The final couple of episodes are the best.

    When this season gets in its groove, Orange is still a delight. This one never reaches the heights of season two and is often disjointed (particularly in the Jenji Kohan-written episodes), but when it's good it's damn good. Piper takes a back seat in this season, which feels strange, but it's great to watch this cast flourish. Season MVP goes to Adrienne C. Moore as "Black Cindy."

    This season was interesting and humorous, however Piper as a main antagonist gets plain annoying after the first few episodes. Its only in the last five minutes of the finale did I finally regain my interest.

    A very interesting look into the prison system. A place we all fear and in which keeps us in society in line. If we do something bad -we go here. So this is a way of looking into our fears. Although I am a male and male prisons are quite different this is a look more at the emotional side of things. What can happen to people inside the pen.     This really was a surprise for me. The term "Netflix Original" was enough to put me off, however I gave it a shot and oh boy, I simply cannot wait for another series. The storylines are quirky, the characters are original and memorable, the guards are well represented and pornstache is.... well.... pornstache.

    I see no reason NOT to rate this a perfect ten. This show is captivating, entertaining, and the plot is simply amazing. I have watched both seasons, and am anxiously awaiting the release of the third season in 2015!

    No lie, this is one of the best shows of all time. There's a large variety of characters you will love along with some that you will hate. Netflix have managed to make an amazing series.

    Orange is the new black is outstanding. It's incredibly original and quirky that you can't help but to like it. I watched the first episode and was hesitant, but I kept on and soon realised that I was addicted! Awesome show.

    Orange is the New Black...when I first heard the copious amounts of praise i thought it was the same old with Mad Men, Breaking Bad and House of Cards (all amazing shows) For some inexplicable reason, I thought OITNB would be boring; where the hell did I get that idea from?

    Piper Chapman, the character is an educated woman who is convicted of a crime that happened more than a decade ago; she says goodbye to her family and friends and enters prison which is the equivalent of Mean Girls except in jail. It's fun, never bores you, and the characters are crazy (they should be) It's easy to binge watch the whole season in a day, and i was shocked to find myself cheering for some of the inmates rather than the guards (particularly Pornstache) A great show!     I recently started watching this show and wow is it good! The show focuses on Piper Chapman as its main character but through its extensive use of short-segmented flashbacks, we learn the past lives of mos of the other convicts. This adds depth to the show and allows us to have a more detailed opinion on each character. The acting could be better however is acceptable enough to provideI recently started watching this show and wow is it good!     REVOLUTIONARY MAGNIFICENT AND ALL ROUND FREAKING AMAZING. 910 FOR ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK SEASON 1. GREAT WRITING AND GREAT CHARACTERS. PERFORMANCES ARE TOP NOTCH.

    Never watch shows like this normally but totally hooked now can't wait for series 2. A lot to take in but one you know the characters you soon get into the show. We'll written and well acted!

    Quibbles aside, watching this superb cast working together remains a pleasure, and it makes Season 2 of Orange Is the New Black an irresistible summer viewing choice.

    Orange has graphic scenes that aren’t for kids. But they aren’t played for cheap gags, either, and that attitude serves the production well. With Schilling in top form, this Orange tastes fresh.

    While it's not apparent that the show's personalities add up to anything more than themselves at first, they ultimately prove to be compelling studies of people trying to work through glaring mistakes and obvious limitations to fashion some sort of livable present.
