I love selena gomez but her acting post wizards of Waverly place has been consistently horrible, rigid and bland. She fails to portray a character but instead just reads her lines. ITS SOOOOO GOOD!! The mystery part is just as incredible as the comedy part, every episode makes you more intrigued to discover what happened and what’s going to happen. I’ve only watched 3 episodes but already care so much for theseITS SOOOOO GOOD!! This show is amazing. A perfect combination of comedy and crime. The casting is amazing. Especially Selena Gomez she embodies the character and makes the show even better with every line she delivers. Extremely recommended watching.

The show is phenomenal. Amazing casting for this show. Everyone does an excellent job. You get invested to the show from the moment you start watching. Selena Gomez does a great job when her return to tv. Can't wait to see the rest of the season.

This show was absolutely cringeworthy. The jokes constantly fell flat and the writing was so unrealistic it ruined any suspension of disbelief. The writers have obvious disdain for podcasters and youth. It feels like Steve Martin and MartinThis show was absolutely cringeworthy. It feels like Steve Martin and Martin Short giving themselves a huge pat on the back for being so funny and smart. I was pulled into the first few episodes but the cringe kept growing and the intrigue kept getting flatter and flatter.

They also make some inappropriate comments about people with ALS which really just summarizes how out of touch this show is. It’s a whole show of punching down. I don’t think any of them have listened to a podcast either.… Expand

"I am inventing this plot as a go a long" so don't expect any consistency should be another tagline. It is the screenwriting of a five-year old where events and15'' attention span writing for a 15'' attention span generation, I guess?

"I am inventing this plot as a go a long" so don't expect any consistency should be another tagline. It is the screenwriting of a five-year old where events and characters happen randomly with not much coherency or internal logic. The only thing missing is a Bambi and a Godzilla... instead of TV stars appearances and celebs lacking some Je ne sais quoi... ah yes, talent. Selena looks super weird at times saying her lines like she just came from dentist or something. Maybe it is direction at fault? How can things looks so polished and acting still so amateurish at times. This is supposed to be a whodunit? Where you are on the edge of your seat? You just cannot give a flying (word often used int he show) for any of the characters.
This kind of writing will teach viewers that TV, streaming or whatever you want to call this medium is just BS and is just not worth your time being wasted on this ©®@p. Nice idea at episode one but turned out to be a waste of time.
PS Respect to Steve and all involved for trying, but this is not a good at all. Kill it.… Expand

This show is superb. Everything is amazing from the acting to the script. What is the most impressing is Selena Gomez acting she does a phenomenal job with her character. This is a must watch show.

So close to being amazing! But then episode 8... You used a character we had noSo close to being amazing! But then episode 8... You used a character we had no emotional investment in to reveal all the secrets resulting in an anti-climatic ending. Our amazing lead characters didn't earn the info, didn't sacrifice for it, and therefore it feels unearned and unsatisfying. This show was so close to being amazing that we didn't even notice all the woke you slid in. That's how good this show WAS but now, I have no reason to watch the last episode.… Expand

Only Murders is fine. It fits into the very niche "detective dramedy" genre alongside Bored to Death and The Kid Detective. Steve Martin Short are okay reprising their comedy duo back-and-forth, but it's nothing special. Selena Gomez anchorsOnly Murders is fine. I must confess that, despite being a huge Selena fan, I tried to keep my expectations for the series not too high, because I didn't really know what to expect from the show, I had no idea how it was going to play out as I never had seen oneI must confess that, despite being a huge Selena fan, I tried to keep my expectations for the series not too high, because I didn't really know what to expect from the show, I had no idea how it was going to play out as I never had seen one like that before. But I admit that this strategy did not work very well. I was VERY looking forward to the premiere. Seeing her acting again in a series, and still alongside two legends, was reason enough to hold my attention. Assiduous viewer of Wizards since childhood, I already knew his gigantic talent for acting (for those who don't know it, search for Lisa's giving birth scene in Indubious Battle on YouTube - breathtaking), but despite not being surprised with the phenomenal work she does as Mabel, the character itself is a much bigger piece than I expected (and I didn't expect anything but perfection).

Oliver, Charles and Mabel are a trio who don't trust each other very much, but it's been fun to see that dynamic unfold in the first three episodes. They are very different characters, but, for some reason, they work very well even when they go wrong.

Mabel Mora is not only the most intriguing piece on the show, she really is the lifeblood of the show. Not only because she's connected to the case, but because her personality is so interesting, mysterious and, above all, relentless. Nothing escapes her gaze, she always has an easy answer for everything, making a meticulous and extremely surprising analysis seem obvious and inherent to her person, maybe because of the personal curiosity she carries about Tim. I dare say that in a line that is very similar to Sherlock Holmes.

Charles is lonely, down-to-earth, methodical, and clearly having trouble relating and bonding with others, probably because of his anxiety preventing him from being open to new things or clinging to other people and then losing them. It's what makes your forays into getting close to Mabel so interesting.

Oliver is a born creative and dreamer, who goes to great lengths to fulfill his desires or please others. He's the opposite of Charles, and maybe that's why he's the part that completes him and makes them the smartest and most curious pair of gray-haired men in New York City.

The series balances the trio in a very insightful way, separating them into different pairs each episode without us even realizing it. The dynamics between the information that the characters discover and that we, viewers, manage to perceive hidden in the scenes was composed in a phenomenal way, so that, every time I watch an episode, I come across things that I hadn't noticed at the previous time.

Only Murders In The Building is a mysterious, funny, calculating, intriguing and completely addictive series when we stick to the details. It is not a show to be watched without your attention being on it, at the same time it is a light work, which amuses and distracts us in a delicious and extremely fun way.

Tim Kono may be the victim the characters lean on to understand his death, but the protagonists' stories become another mystery to be discovered by the audience, and Mabel, without any doubt, is the character the audience is most curious to be unraveled. I strongly recommend it!… Expand

Outstanding show. I am most of the way through season 1, and although it had a slow start the writing and performances improve with every episode. The episode “The Boy From 6B” has been a standout so far, told from the view of a deaf person you have to wait until the very end of the episode before someone actually says something. An episode of such quality it gave me goose bumps watching it.… Expand
