Love it! Watched Season 1 four times, the chemistry between those three actors is astonishing and sooo comforting. And so far Season 2 is not falling short. A very lighthearted TV Show with a serious and interesting topic.
Also probs to Selena, she's killing it next to those two legends!
Only murders in the building? More like Only legends in the building.

Loved the first season- But what seemed so effortless the first time around is now laboured and unfunny. The amusing ‘Dips for dinner’ joke from season 1 is sledgehammered into the ground here. The amusing ‘Dips for dinner’ joke from season 1 is sledgehammered into the ground here. Everything feels self-conscious - from the writing to the lead performances, it’s at the same time overthought and half-baked. Also I feel the characters are too INVOLVED in the mystery… It doesn’t have the lightness of ‘pals getting together to solve a crime’ touch that (the beginning) of the first season had. A better idea for season two of the podcast would have been them investigating an old unsolved murder in the Arconia building from 30, 40 odd years ago - that they (seemingly) have no personal link to, but slowly over the season ties in to modern day and our leads in some way. Bunny was a comic relief character. The ‘victim’ has to be a serious character that you would buy in the real world, like Tim (season 1.) Try as they might in this season to flesh her out and provide depth- when you know the character was created purely for minor yuks in the first season, there aren’t really any stakes there. Puzzled by the love for season 2… I think I laughed maybe three times in 10 hours of television. That’s a particularly depressing hit rate given the presence of Martin and Short, two of the funniest comics ever. Expand

Phenomenal - so meticulous in the way it’s crafted, but still laugh out loud funny; especially since this season dives deeper into the lives of Charles, Oliver, and Mabel which ensures more comedic performances from the trio. I’m so excited for the rest of the season: the comedy within the show reinforces the fact that Only Murders in the Building is one of the funniest TV shows this century. Expand

This new season is as incredible as the first one. Maybe even better if that is possible. The actors are incredible. We are getting to know more about the characters and their past which is fantastic.

    A solid second season.
The story here does feel like an extension of the first season, and while that isn't a bad thing, it does tend to play it a bit too safe at times.

Fantastic new season a great start. The trio is amazing. Selena Gomez as Mabel has taken over the show and she is shining more than ever.

OMITB has proven to be an incredible comedy. The actors are very funny. Every scene is amazing and you want to watch the episode over and over to look for clues. Overall a fantastic start.

“Only Murders in the Building” mashes up high comedy and carefully observed human moments and Season 2 is a continuation, and deepening, of that. All three leads are aces at this, and the show is directed with a particular appreciation for Short’s symphony of facial expressions.

The characters are more lived-in, their quirks more fleshed out, and the concept of the show feels more assured – we start to find out more about Oliver’s background through flashbacks, and Mabel’s chance at finding love gives a new dimension to her moroseness. But this character-building doesn’t distract from the show’s main plot and fortunately, season two dives straight into the whodunnit.
