Like the other NCIS’s often engaging and fun to watch. This one tends to get too intense as far as the team’s emotions and personalities are concerned. Gibbs does things his own way, but he seldom obliterates the rules anymore. Pride has no such limiter on his actions and now the show is as much about his failings as it is about the team’s successes. That being said, the team does have some interesting members and does have the potential to make this version of the franchise close to the quality of the others. The forced sense of “family” and loyalty to Pride is not as obvious in the acting as it is in the lines of the script. I just don’t feel it is there.
In morality plays,the characters are often named by their most prominent characteristic - Pride does think a lot of his own opinion of what is right and wrong. The fact that his nickname is “King” speaks volumes as well. Hope they fix the Pride character, but this whole “I gotta be me” thing needs to stop.… Expand
