This is kind of like a more boring (tamer) version of Naruto. While it isn't bad, it really takes a long time to get going and the pacing is almost slug-like. While the action is OK, it is also nothing too flamboyant. Fights really begin and end rather quickly and generally feel underwhelming.

One could almost say the story is borderline Yaoi. The relationship between the two main male leads is a bit "confusing" and a little uncomfortable to watch at times for a heterosexual male.
Most of the other character are really interesting, but not really expanded upon. Each seems to have a deep back story that is mostly just glanced over.
Overall:
Nabari was better than I expected and does have a rather interesting overlying concept to it. However, it is really dull and feels like the writers forgot that this was meant to be animated. I know it is because they wanted not to stray too far from the mangas, but what works on paper does not always work for full motion animation. A bit more flair is seriously needed here.… Expand
