Season 5 has again a good variety of myths and good special episodes. I will start with the specials: There are the 2 pirate specials that put many pirate (movie) myths to the test. My favourite are the eye patch test (Never though about this useful application), the shrapnel test (sounded legit), the buried in sand test, the cannonball chaos and the slowing your fall with a knife bySeason 5 has again a good variety of myths and good special episodes. I will start with the specials: There are the 2 pirate specials that put many pirate (movie) myths to the test. My favourite are the eye patch test (Never though about this useful application), the shrapnel test (sounded legit), the buried in sand test, the cannonball chaos and the slowing your fall with a knife by cutting a sail. The snow special tested the frozen tongue on a pole myth (In my school someone tested this in real life), can you start an avalanche by different means and driving on ice in reverse. The special supersized myths was a tribute to Don Herbert and his Mr. Wizard show. He is unknown in my country and I only knew about him because of this special (Sounds like something I would watch in my childhood). At last there is the viewer special = The myths were picked by users. The killer cigarette butt is mind-blowing, the stop a car in reverse is interesting and the eye pop sneezing myth is one of the most well know urban legends you will never test yourself out of fear. For the normal episodes: The Hindenburg test was awesome to watch as was the underwater car escape (Didn't know that there were so many cases where cars fall in bodies of water per year). The speed camera test cleaned up some myths as did the dog myths (Bloodhound tracking). Then an absolute highlight: The Walking on Water episode tested ninja myths like walking on water, catching an arrow and stopping a blade between bare hands. The next episode tested western myths like shooting a had of a head and jailbreak myths. The Knight Rider Ramp test was also put on test. A surprising highlight were the Baseball myths. Baseball is not popular in my country. For the citizens of the USA: It is as popular as Volleyball in the USA if even that (Not beach volleyball). The cork filled bat, humid balls and sliding vs running tests were interesting for me even as non Baseball fan (As sports fan). Then the popular myth / saying a red rag to a bull was tested and the bull in a china shop. Lets say the results are interesting. In the episode Superhero Hour the team tested some superhero myths. Overall while interesting I would have chosen better myths. The exploding water heater is used in advertisements of the show. You see the whole team surprised by the results. The hot Chili cures were discussed by us. We have a Turkish non alcoholic beverage called Uludag that does not burn not matter how much Chili you ate. It is even more mind-blowing because it had carbon dioxide in it. Overall this is again a season with many must see episode and highlights.… Expand
