I have to assume that they paid for this show solely based on the name bochco being associated with it. I felt dirty after watching the first scene. How anyone could consider it to be believable is beyond me. I was rooting for an asteroid to drop from the sky and obliterate all the participants. Bad script. Bad acting. Bad management. Trifecta of FAIL.

The first episode was a little intense with the crime. It was about two kids who open fire on a school bus. I personally like it better than Law and Order and NCIS and CSI but this isn't as good as Major Crimes or NCIS New Orleans. This is realistic though which I like so all I can say is watch it.

Solid cable tv police procedural that takes place with San Francisco as the backdrop. Entertaining and fast paced with believable characters. Some of the standard cop show tropes remain but no cop tv show is without some.

Murder in the First is peerless in its ability to engage viewers with its devastating, insightful use of the procedural.

In this second season, only a mild intellectual puzzle stretched over far too many episodes.

A solidly crafted if mostly undemanding piece of summer entertainment, shifting to a new high-profile case with a ripped-from-the-headlines quality.
