    Medabots follows the typical anime trope of some sort of dueling battlesport, like many before it, but it manages to rise above the rest.

    For one, the dialogue is good, the characters and plot are interesting and it smoothes you in the show in the first episode(despite the tropes). This is in stark contrast to Yu-Gi-Oh, which thrusts you in without properly establishing itself,    Medabots follows the typical anime trope of some sort of dueling battlesport, like many before it, but it manages to rise above the rest.

    For one, the dialogue is good, the characters and plot are interesting and it smoothes you in the show in the first episode(despite the tropes). This is in stark contrast to Yu-Gi-Oh, which thrusts you in without properly establishing itself, showering you with disposition with the subtlety of a nuclear bomb and often feels corny(the bad kind). Medabots is also quite humorous and light hearted.

    In the technical side of things, the animation is good, the action is lookin great, and its entertaining. It sounds good too. The music is nothing to write home about but it gets the work done.

    The bad things are more like nitpicks. It gets tropy and cliched. hell, Medabots is a trope in itself, and at times it feels kinda childish. It also has some logic issues, letting kids own fully self aware robots that are armed with what appears to be real weapons. Its the part where I think Yu-Gi-Oh does better since this whole shadow realm and real monsters is masked as nothing more than a card game.
