Saw some critics reviews of this and was going to skip it, glad I didn't. Love it! Sopranos meets the Wire. Looking forward to seeing where this one goes.

The critics are perfectly right. The is almost no plot in this show and the sillines of most of twists is beyond ridiculous.

Ignore the critics! The Mayor is well written, well acted, gritty and driven. It’s going somewhere and Rennner is fabulous. Each episode has mystery and moral failings that leave you wondering if you heard that right and where it’s going.

It appears the professional critics here are relying on just the first one or two episodes. This is a dynamite show, with a unique premise of just exactly who the protagonist is, great performances, and no nonsense.

Well done with some interesting twists with some of the storytelling and mob police criminal FBI tropes with not everything black or white - Renner & others hit it out of the park with their performances

Great acting but terrible story line. At times it doesn't even make sense. For instance. Iris is terrified of Milo and nobody knows where he's hiding but iris is like a homing pigeon making a B line right to where he's hiding. A family isGreat acting but terrible story line. I actually made an account just to review this show because I think the critics are so off base. It's really engaging, the storyline is strong, and the acting is very good. Show hits on all levels and every race is represented, whether fair or not, but in a town like that, i dont imagine it’s too far off from the truth….LOVE.”Hawkeye” playing main character (Jeremy Renner)….he is phenomenal
