This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. You've heard enough about woke pandering and blatant lying from PR and personally Kevin Smith, so I want to say another thing. This show is just BAD. Animation is mediocre and not even close to Castlevania levels. But the writing by Smith is just pathetic. The grand revelation from the first episode is that Castle Grayskull is not a center of magic, but a hologram skin, that has... just a differently designed castle with another name and the same role. That is a level of epic "revelations" here, people. And the reaction "YOU ALL LIARS!" from Teela after hearing about Adam's secret... that is the cliche that all the worst CW shows base all their drama upon constantly. Not surprising from a fan of CW shows, but painfully unoriginal and cringe non the less.

I'll always love Dogma, but it's been quite a while since Kevin did anything worthwhile as aa writer. And that show is as bad as all his newest works. Only here he also managed to sell out his fans.

The Show is not about He-Man. The Trailer is misleading and the Titel of the Series should be "Tale of Teela". Nice Animation and the Story isnt to bad. But in the end its the same Netflix **** they do everytime with loved Charakters and IPs.

The art and animation style is so TOP NOTCH, beyond any doubt. Best animation.
But the story... is very disappointing. Some of the voice acting are bad. Especially "Buffy" Teela, sorry, but Teela doesn't sound like that at all, I don't mind the bufff-ier physicality.
The writing on this piece of non-art is so disrespectful to the original material. AVOID AT ALL COST. Great premise

Great premise on paper, but the execution and unprofessionalism, attacking fans, gaslighting are killing this series… dead on arrival.
The characters at the end of episode 1 totally acted so out of character then makes it totally pointless to watch the rest of the series.

    He-Man becomes No-Man => No-Ma'am.

By the end of episode 1, fans of the original series will notice that the remaining characters behave so out of character, and makes you wonder if the writer even understand their source material.
Skipped and ran fast forward through episode 2 to 4, then continue watching at normal pace for episode 5. After episode 5 concluded, practically please wipe this out of my memory.

A horrendous, horrible story that absolutely destroyed what great memories I had of He Man. Even Teela, the 'subversion' character, is weak and whiny. Total Waste Of Time.

this is just distruction of series He-man.
the technical point or this series is excellent.but the rest is just bad there are 1 or 2 points that you can say it's ok.
they just destroyed the foundation of this series you just can't do that and .with the combination that woke hassle makes it even worse.

i can i go into detail why but to be honest don't care anymore.
I'm just tired of everything being destroyed in culture.

This is about as far from the original show as they could have achieved. So if you are a fan of the original or the 2000 show - there is no way you can enjoy this. The voices are recognizable actors/actresses. Thing is it's like they had a "list" of social agenda items that needed to be injected into the story. What's left isn't really a cohesive show or something even mildly enjoyable. I think I smiled briefly once or twice in only the first episode. Shaking my head the rest of the time. This really makes me wish show runners would work *purely on the enjoyment aspect of their craft rather than a scoreboard on how many points that can be achieved arbitrarily inserting their take on today's society. Also my humble suggestion - at all costs try to preserve at least the essence of the original show. In this case this show is not aimed at anyone from the original audience. Honestly, I don't know WHO it's supposed to be aimed at. It seems to me that the team was aiming at groups not at all interested in Masters of the Universe. Expand

image a reboot of Buffy. She get's killed in the first 20min and Angel takes over. Willow is portrayed as weak and dumb, as are all other female characters. Now change the genders and you have this show.

If you hate the main characters so much, why not do a different story altogether? Deceitful. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I believe that Kevin Smith has specially collected all the most terrible cliches of the last ten years in one cartoon to show how much he and similar media personalities are c*****d and subordinate to the modern agenda. A stupid drain and the murder of the original hero at the very beginning, as in "Dark Fates". Tincreasing the level of stupidity of the universe and lore for the sake of the agenda, as in the new "Star Wars". Rethinking the characters of other characters in accordance with the modern agenda, as in the same Dark Fate. Adding LGBT and poking them right in the face is just like in Princess Shi-Ra, which happens in the same universe as He-man. Well, the deception of fans, in order to play on nostalgia, as in all such projects. And if Cameron, perhaps, really took off Dark Fate, so that they would already left him alone, and that the viewer would never see another ignoramus rape the Terminator in his life, then fat Kevin is really sure that his "joke" was really cool. Ahahahaha. Damn, when will it end? Expand

This show is a middle finger in the face of classic MOTU fans. He-Man is really only in the first episode. From then on it's as everyone expected: Teela's the main character. Netflix basically ruin every franchise they touch so we can't be surprised. Kevin Smith has taken that to the next level here though and absolutely destroyed He-Man. Avoid this all costs if you are a He-Man fan.

It’s ok making Teela the lead character, it’s actually a refreshing take on MotU. However, marketing it as a He-Man series is a dick move. If you wanna do a Teele series, then commit to it and say it as it is.

Anyways, I could've forgive that too if it wasn't so terrible.

Kevin Smith is a LIAR and a SHILL.
This show is a complete disrespect of the original material and the 2003 reboot, which are both FAR SUPERIOR to this trash. This is nothing more than more of the same WOKE ideology you've seen in every other movie or tv shows. AVOID this trash at all cost, and any other garbage that Kevin Smith attempts to vomit out in the future.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Netflix already had a show like this for young women - She-Ra. I don't understand why there can't be a show that gives a positive role model for young boys, like my sons. As much as people complain about "toxic masculinity" why not use shows like He-Man to show positive examples of masculinity?

Instead this is the Teela show, and Teela is an unlikable narcissist. She makes He-Man's death all about herself. This show is for the 20 most active accounts on Twitter and no one else.

This is a bait and switch and not worth your time.

Kevin Smith lied, this is not Masters of the Universe. This a generic **** that believes women have to look like men to be strong. How empowering is it for women to only be strong because all the men are killed off, removed otherwise or made to look stupid? It is insulting to both old fans as well as to truly empowered women, nothing

Unbelievable how bad this show is. Teela looks like a man now. She has the classic personality disorder haircut that implies that she is not into men.

Poor Dialoges, Poor Character Design, Nothing makes Sense, Teelas reactions especially make no sense. This is cultural vandalism like Terminator Dark Fate, Disney Star Wars Trilogy and so on. This show is done be people who hate He-Man

It may take a little while to fully get into what Masters of the Universe: Revelation is doing if you are not already familiar with the franchise. But whether you're a longtime fan or just hungry for a unique blend of sci-fi and fantasy, this show offers an exhilarating adventure that justifies the era of the legacyquel, while proving itself a necessary and essential part of the Masters of the Universe mythos.

Smith eschews his normally wordy dialogue style, but keeps the characters smart and real, which helps us want to follow all of them as they go on their journey. He also hews closely to the convoluted world that is Eternia, where there’s layer upon layer of intrigue and mysticism that needs to be restored or captured. The animation is an upgraded version of the ’80s Filmation style the original show had, but with just enough retro touches to keep the show connected to its predecessor.
