Nov 26, 2017Makes the Defenders seem like a kindergarten reunion. It's dark and violent and digs deep in the personalities of the (anti)hero and those around him. Well made and directed with good music. Last but not least, Jon Bernthal, gives an acting recital as the well-known vigilante.

Nov 24, 2017The Punisher starts out slow, but once it gets going, it fires on all cylinders. It is the second best Marvel-Netflix series, behind only Daredevil. I highly recommend it for any action fan.

Nov 20, 2017This is dark, gritty and brutal. They picked a great actor for Punisher. Gave him a flushed out story and has a decent amount of action. It's a shame the critics could not appreciate this.

Mar 13, 2019All around brilliant show. Honestly, It is in the same league with Breaking Bad, The Wire and Game of thrones. The writing, the acting, action sequences - everything is top notch. It might seem a bit stretched to some people, but I didn't feel bored for a second. It is beyond my comprehension why on Earth the critics tried to sink this masterpiece. Yet another proof you can't trust them at all.

Nov 23, 2017It's isn't perfect, but it lacks very little. Addictive after the first episode, with many emotional scenes, good acting and well written characters. The best of the Marvel series thus far without a doubt, for once showing a character with more depth than the rest.

Nov 29, 2017An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind...unless you use a silencer. Frank Castle returns in his own series thanks to Marvel's deep pockets. Bloody, dirty, and raw, this show gives comic vets and newcomers alike a glimpse into the mind of an elite soldier whose seemingly limitless arsenal runs perpendicular to his ability to connect with other people. This show is not for the faint of heart.

Mar 10, 2018Wow, the critics panned this show and praise the second season of Jessica Jones?! ...yeah, I guess that makes sense. Anyways, I loved it. My favorite Marvel show yet.

Nov 18, 2017In short, the series was made for fans of the punisher, not made for the politically correct critics of the left. is bloody, violent and faithful to comics, the weak point is that some characters are weak (or actors).

Nov 18, 2017Amazing show. Best Marvel-Netflix show. This show is for grownups not little boys and girls who pretend to be adults. Critics are crazy or just sad little snowflakes who never served our country. Best show in a long time. I'm on the sixth episode now truly enjoying it somewhat reminds me of Homeland and Person of interest (which is a good thing). John is truly amazing as a Punisher.

Nov 18, 2017amazing TV show.... this is what punisher should be. Dont let MCU haters and libtards discourage you from watching it. Its not some kind of modern SJW, PC trash those people like so those so called proffessional reviewers dislike it. But man action, story, mood everything is 10/10.

Dec 1, 2017Amazing, really impressive how Jon Bernthal IS THE REAL PUNISHER, and the vilans is really good. I cant wait for the season two!
If the critics vote for red that means they dont know the comics and nothing about "cinema" -
Dec 26, 2017This amazing Show took me by surprise and oh boy it was a big one.
This has to be one of my favorite tv shows of all time, up with Spartacus, GoT, Vikings, Breaking Bad. Really well done, amazing story, phenomenal characters, and interesting twists and turns.
It had everything for me: Action, Drama, Some Romance, Story-Driven characters, well-placed comedy and really good villains. -
Feb 14, 2018A must see.
The show has portrayed the Punisher in remarkably dark colors.
There is plenty of violence, but kind of unavoidable violence if you are to be true to the plot.
This series captured me full attention by surprise since I did not expect so much punch in a time when everything is highly damaged by political correctness. -

All too often it’s a plodding slog. Bernthal’s performance somehow finds energy in Frank’s pain. ... Lightfoot’s breadth of storytelling is gratifying--he wants to do more than give the cultural landscape another killing machine to idolize. It makes The Punisher less uncomfortable to watch than it could be amid so many outbreaks of extreme gun violence. But it isn’t an easy ride.
-
The show is well-written and Jon Bernthal ("The Walking Dead") is fantastic as Castle, the Afghanistan war veteran turned vigilante. ... But the story itself isn't dynamic enough to punch through all the cultural baggage this show is unfairly (or as some believe, justifiably) saddled with. It doesn't help that the burly character's superpower isn't a superpower at all. It's old-fashioned rage, coupled with special ops training.

Better too rich than too thin, to be sure, but “The Punisher” casts its net so wide that almost none of these stories get a fair shake. When they do, it’s usually the acting that closes the gap — Woll and Bernthal are so good together that it almost doesn’t matter that their scenes get snapped out quickly — but it’s hard to escape the feeling that, in giving us all that story, “The Punisher” doesn’t have much time for substance. It’s simultaneously too much and not enough.
