The chemistry and acting from Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph is terrific. The acting from Gloria Reuben, Emma Lehanna, Brooklyn McLinn, Dilshad Vadsaria, and Andrea Roth was also fantastic.     Plotting is tighter and more interesting. The number of threats the characters deal with is wisely streamlined. The location and culture of New Orleans is still used to great effect. You get to see a lot more of the world of the supernatural/voudon (voodoo), and they do a good job of visually presenting it. Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph remain strong leads.

    A few nitpicks: The whole conspiracy subplot felt a little unexplained and confusing. Though there is a lot less of it this time, there are still moments of characters being unnecessarily sour. Like last season, the showrunner seems to insist on using the character of Father Delgado but doesn't really know what to do with him.

    Overall if the last season didn't work for you, I suggested you still give this a second chance. I wasn't satisfied last time but I felt I was rewarded for sticking around.    … Full Review »

    Marvel's Cloak & Dagger is an obscure but surprisingly well made show. I think it does well what it set to do.
