    The stupidly-titled Manhunt: Deadly Games is a crisp, absorbing recounting of the search for the bomber who killed two people and injured 150 others at the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta.

    It's finally the cast and the little investigative beats that kept me watching and enjoying Manhunt: Deadly Games through to the end. It doesn't sell Jewell's victimization short, nor does it let the media or government off the hook. It just shows how stories like this can benefit from depth, no matter what other problems they have.

    Sodroski and Dinner’s conscientiousness produces the kind of episodes that viewers should have to sit with before moving on to the next one, in part because they challenge expectations of what comes next—if only they had the time.

    I can understand someone taking creative liberties when telling a story based on true events, but the main problem with season 2 of thisI can understand someone taking creative liberties when telling a story based on true events, but the main problem with season 2 of this series is that "creative" is a strong word to use in front of liberties. It was cliche after cliche and totally butchering the character of some of these people who they are basing the show on.

    They embellish a lot of the events including the police captain demanding that they name a suspect within a day of the event that took place.. Without spoiling anything, the cops are somehow the most dirty cops yet somehow the showrunners just forgot all of that and made them the heroes for a few episodes like the whole setup of the characters to the rest of the show didn't actually matter. They also spare no expense making fun of the security guard and even likening him to Paul Blart as some of my friends who watched it mentioned. In one part they drive to a very southern town and wouldn't ya know it, they didn't like cops around there. I mean I could keep going, but I hope I've managed to paint the reoccurring lack of creativity that went into this short series. I'll give it two out of 10 stars, because it was funny at one part (unintentionally) and it helped me fall asleep. Merry Christmas, don't waste your time with this 2nd part of the series. Finish the decent 1st season of Manhunt and be glad you stopped there while it was pretty good at least.    … Full Review »
