    Impressed by this new discovery ( for me ) . It is not sharp ( or budgeted) as for instance , a network show like The Good Wife, it still offers avery interesting mix of crime, workplace and unique home/family drama, with comedic elements seamlessly blended in by regular cast members as well as stellar guest performers. Even the editing has a unique look. I never saw that much of TheImpressed by this new discovery ( for me ) . It is not sharp ( or budgeted) as for instance , a network show like The Good Wife, it still offers avery interesting mix of crime, workplace and unique home/family drama, with comedic elements seamlessly blended in by regular cast members as well as stellar guest performers. Even the editing has a unique look. I never saw that much of The Closer, but MCs is far more memorable and will deservedly be on the air for years to come. I only wish they had a larger ( regular network's, not TNT cable's) budget as the regular sets have a cheap look to them. No matter. The writing and acting deliver without fail. Impressed, and looking forward to the future stories MCs will tell.… Expand

    This shying away from meaty storylines typifies the longstanding weakness of Major Crimes and, to a certain extent, The Closer before it.... As the team has little to do on the job, the episode fills out the time with minor whiffs of narrative.
