This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The show is a modern look at the Magnum P.I. franchise. It's well written, engaging and has like characters and good character development. The relationship between Higgins (Perdita Weeks) and Magnum is especially good to watch. You can see them grudgingly falling in love with one another (at least, that's my take on it). It evolves nicely, it has good action and I don't think the reception to the show has been fair. Honestly, it's a bit more of a positive uplift than 99% of the grueling drama and hardcore action crap that is on the air today. If CBS ever allows the damn show to air, in its entirety... and gives it enough episodes to evolve then we might see some real growth. I don't think the show will survive since the network it's on is continuously putting the damn show on hiatus. If you want to lose viewers and destroy the fanbase, might as well keeps screwing with the release windows. CBS All access has had it, and with their whole Viacom merger there is likely a new streaming platform around the corner designed to gouge people since everyone is cutting the cord. Not going to win many viewers releasing sub par **** like Star Trek Discovery and (even though it was decent) Star Trek Picard. Magnum P.I. is the uplifting show that hits me emotionally, engages me and keeps me entertained. I sincerely hope it continues to air and we get a couple more seasons.… Expand
