This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Still lacks the appeal of the original but far better than most dramas of this type currently airing.

In my view, the Magnum and Higgins characters are way too chummy for this early in the run and now they are supposed to be getting even closer (husband and wife). That is a recipe for cancellation if ever there was one. Everything was destined to push these two characters together, but a sham marriage (maybe to turn into a real one)? Pu-lease!

How many of the now defunct Hawaii 50 characters are now going to cameo or become bit players in this show?

The long term plot line needs some serious work, but overall, acceptable.

Another splendid season but at times it felt repetitive of the first season. Jay Hernandez and Perdita Weeks gave outstanding performances just like this first season, they are funny, cool, and have great chemistry together. Amy Hill, Tim Kang, Bobby Lee, and Zachary Knighton gave stupendous supporting performances especially Amy Hill. The fight choreography is phenomenal and awesome, it is some of the best and most realistic fight choreography I have ever seen. The writing is superb but a little repetitive of the first season but the deportation of Juliet storyline is excellent. This was another amazing season. Expand
