    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Well, Mac and the team are back but Phoenix is no longer what it was. We have a new global conspiracy to track down (it’ll take most of the season, for certain).

    New “friends” may still be enemies and old friends may have ulterior motives but we won’t know for certain for a while.

    The back stories behind this series reboot seem contrived and weak. Now Mac has some serious "mommy-issues" to pair with his ever present "daddy-issues." Not certain even MacGyver can build a contraption to save this show from remaking itself into oblivion.    … Expand
