the show gets worse and worse as it goes on the writing is so shallow with a good line sprinkled on the tippy top. It pays zero respect to the bible and the DC comics its so called based off of. The concept of the show is interesting and brilliant. The main characters are compelling especially Lucifer. Just an incredible story. A real in-depth look at humanity and relationships between the characters and their own personal struggles . Lucifer is just such an incredible actors but so ate all the cast members. Entertaining , funny yetJust an incredible story. One of my friends recommended this series and I guess it just had new episodes put on NetFlix. Unfortunately Lucifer doesn't reall seem to be the show for me. Like, "Oh, let's make Lucifer the protagonist, oh, let's imply Lucifer is a misunderstood religious icon."

The storyline of the series is loosened and saw everything and I have been told in the movie that this movie has a star. I would like to rate 9/10. So much fun. What a waste for such a brilliant and tempting idea!! It is clear no solid philosophy behind, just filling episodes with some weak sparks. Lucifer could do much better.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A sense of humor and open-mindedness is necessary for this series. Bible thumpers are not going to like it at all because it put Lucifer in a different light than totally (and unacceptably) evil.

This series started because of the comic book and hey, it eventually comes into the Flash, Supergirl, Batwoman, Arrow, Legends universe during the "Crisis on Infinite Earth" cross-over.

Okay, nerd info aside, let's get to the meat of "why" this series is so good.

Why would you like this show? It's funny, it's emotional, it has action, and it gives you that Obi-Wan Kenobi ("Luke, you're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view") feeling about this character.

His role is going to make you start wondering about everything you've been told as a child about "the devil" and that's what makes it so cool to watch.

The very idea of the devil retiring and moving to the "City of Angels".....BRILLIANT. He's a night-club owner, he plays the piano, and he sings Hendrix's "All Along the Watchtower" (and many more) and how @#$%ing COOL is that for a character?

The best part of this character is: He NEVER lies about things and, because of the cynicism in the world, his own partner doesn't discover who he really is until FAR into the series.

Sure, it's a partner-cop thing, but it takes "Good Cop, Bad Cop" to the 'Nth' level and you never know what Lucifer is going to pull.....or even pull out (spoilers, yup) LOL!

Fox were @#$%ing MORONS to kill this series in Season 3 and they were SO idiotic that a campaign was launched to bring it back and Netflix (being the 1 in 20 genius decisions they have) picked it back up for the 4th and going into 5th seasons.

The greatest thing about Lucifer Morningstar is his cheeky, unprofessional, jokester attitude carries you along until he completely LOSES it and freaks you out a little when he shows his "devilness". Then, when you think you've seen every side to him, you see this deep, emotional pain (episode "A Preacher Walks Into A Bar") and it just kills you, emotionally, to believe he's got that range and that he's screaming at God because someone killed a man that was supposed to (by religious standards) be his "enemy" and, to top it off, he plays "Knockin on Heaven's Door" on the piano (bluesy style) toward the end.

I have to admit, it got to me.

I have been a die-hard fan since the beginning.

I have ONE criticism to this show (and there's a season left so they might do it) and that is they have YET to play "Sympathy For the Devil" (the Stones version) and i HOPE that's going to be on the last episode.… Expand
