Season 4 is perhaps a little bit too short... and that's like the single complaint I can make. Well, in return there are no boring filler episodes. A lot is going on, acting is great, the characters are well developed, the finale is very good - and could end the series gracefully but - at the same time - does not exclude possible continuation.

Only watched the first episode so far. Luci is back, playing his piano in the opening scene and doing his thing. The final scene left a promise for a very good 4th season. Thank you Netflix for adopting our show !!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. At first I disliked having fewer episodes, but it helps the show a lot. Gone are the useless procedural filler episodes that didn't move any plot forward. Instead we get episodes with more myth and supernatural, supported by a cop plot. Everyone's story is much more fleshed out. Even Dan gets his own significant struggles, but I do think he was to far removed from the main plot at times and that his friends weren't there enough to support him. The CGI is better and used more. Adding Eve is intriguing, though I can't picture her being a mother of Abel and Cain and neither like her reaction to Cains death with a simple throwaway line. Charlie's is a great addition as well. The demons demanding a king, perfect. I have always been wondering how hell is managing without a leader. Lucifer couldn't stay on vacation forever. They finally addressed that and the emotional pay off in the finale was great. But all in all, loved it and can't wait for more. Expand

Netflix has only made this show better the reigns that fox imposed have been loosened and the comedy, , drama, romance and fear journey that this season took me on is something else

The cancellation of Lucifer is the best thing that ever happened to the show. Netflix's ten episode structure made sure there were no filler-episodes this season. The show kept it's identity with a great mix of drama, action and comedy. This is by far the best season with a lot of great episodes. I will definitely return to this.

Thanks netflix for saving Lucifer, the devil has risen ... I loved the first three seasons, in some cases a little too long and with little plot inside them, but this allowed an excellent characterization of the characters .. Ella, Den , Maze, Chloe, Lucifer, Amenadiel and Linda .. each of them .... Because of this .. this fourth season was so emotional ... is stunning.

The shape of the Devil is pushed out when Lucifer's (inner) mood changes .... In this fourth season the level of acting has grown a lot .. especially for Chloe, much more expressive than the previous ones.
A critical person would give him 8/10 or 7.5 / 10 .. mah hey very few TV series excited me so much ... final vote 10/10.

I will count every single day until the release of season 5 ... NETFILX PLEASE, THIS SHOW HAS A GREAT POTENTIAL .. DON'T WASTE IT.

The acting was very good just as previously, with greatly directed scenes, amazingly choreographed action sequences and camera angles. The series was more fun to watch and more entertaining than before slightly due to it's pacing issue being removed. The visual effects where slightly off at certain times, but it's not noticeable due to it's little exposure, and the sound effects, sound quality and songs chosen for scenes reflects the detail put in to this series. Hats off to Tom Ellis and Lesley-Ann and their performance not only on the acting part of the job, but also the singing performances. And the sound effects are also amazingly clean and radiate more immersion.
The plot was really well delivered with the show's message of morality and the two sides of things. This all was delivered in a great way using metaphors and besides showing emotions and strong feelings, it also keeps the entertainment level going with it's contrast like supernatural aspects reflecting and subverting back to the emotional and morally grey origin.
Overall it's a very good season in a "getting even better" TV series with an amazing message and great artistic value as much as entertainment value.

This season was beyond amazing. The story didn't feel forced and there were no fillers this season. The balance between drama, comedy and action is right on point. The plot is well-written with a decent pace.

Very similar to previous season in both the good and the bad. The new character "Eve" was a great addition, i think she was the highlight of the season. Pacing felt better with less the half the episode count, but parts of the story still felt dragged out.

Netflix did an excellent job with Lucifer. The show is action packed. I was pleased to see the characters grow and that Netflix did not take the show in a different direction.

This new season felt fresh and one of if not my favorite season so far. Loved the storylines, the new and faster pacing now that there are fewer episodes, and the more constante use of Lucifer’s powers as the devil, something I thought was lacking before.

New season is much darker, sexier and also more detailed. It seems that Netflix has a very good job of improving the show and keeping its very naughty and devilish humour at the same time. I will be looking forward to season 5 after seeing the amazing cliffhanger finale.

Lucifer is better than ever before. Sitcom-like plotlines based on interrupted conversations, avoiding issues or making assumptions based on incomplete information - which were always Lucifer's biggest sin - have now been replaced with tight writing, issues of race, realistic and gripping character development, action, and a whole lot of supernatural fun. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. With every season Lucifer just keeps getting better, still one of my favorite shows of all time. Tom Ellis's performance this season has been especially phenomenal, he gave his best performance of the entire series this season with a very emotional powerful performance. The supporting performances were outstanding especially from Inbar Lavi, Lauren German, Graham McTavish, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Aimee Garcia, D.B. Woodside, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Nick Massouh, and Vinessa Vidotto. The chemistry between the cast was just amazing, they play off of each other so perfectly. The visual effects were exceptional especially when Lucifer goes full devil, hell, and Remy's wings. The writing was remarkable. The character development was stupendous especially with Lucifer, Maze, Eve, Amenadiel, Chloe, and Ella. The costumes were excellent especially on Lesley-Ann Brandt, Inbar Lavi, Aimee Garcia, Tom Ellis, Graham McTavish, Lauren German, Vinessa Vidotto, and Rachael Harris. The makeup and hairstyling was superb especially on Inbar Lavi, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Vinessa Vidotto, Lauren German, and Tom Ellis. The choreography in "Who's da New King of Hell?" was terrific and really funny. The music choices were great. Another A+ season. Expand

Gone are the airy filler episodes of overlong seasons past; gone are any nonsensical backslides in character development meant to keep the story from burning itself out ahead of broadcast schedule. What does that leave behind? Well, just about everything that made Lucifer so fun and innovative from the beginning.
