    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Absolutely the best Marvel series so far. Because he does everything he has to do and he does it divinely, precisely. I didn't perceive the third episode as a filler episode at all, but the fundamental episode of the beginning of the relationship between Loki and Sylvie. I literally loved all the other episodes, including the final. A Loki-style ending! Lots of talk, little action. A winning choice was also the decision on who was the true creator of the TVA. He has only one flaw, it ends. At the moment.… Expand

    Overrated as hell. Removes the concept of free will from Phases 1-3 making literally every action before then feel pointless because it was already planned out.

Brining Loki back into MCU completely ruins one of the strongest parts of Avengers Infinity War. Most of the dialogue is painfully boring and cringe.     The setup was great and the Loki catching up with all the events in future after avengers were emotional and amazing specially about his mother! the TVA was amazing and the slow reveals about them was entertaining,the slyvie's entry as well as the chemistry between both loki and her was sweet and the mobius trusting loki was fun to watch, the Whole Varient and timeline thing was well handled and the back story of slyvie was emotional, the 4th episode was FUN and love that Lady SIF cameo. the whole Timekeepers thing was surprise and the real thing behind that was intriguing to watch, the 5th episode was iconic specially all the loki varients they were fun, the scene of them fighting with president loki and each other was hilarious. the last episode was mind-bendingly awesome the Classic loki's sacrifice and the Final showdown with Kang's varient it was literally hyped up and the whole conversation was brilliantly done and at the end that move made by slyvie and TVA's loki's Twist at the end with whole world's about to get crazy And the scene cut with Kang's statue "WOW" That was Literally Mind-blowing and the Credits it was all hyping up,really want to see what will happen next after all mess made by slyvie!     Along with Wandavision, Disney have managed to successfully come up with something original and avoided going with the safe, predictable option.
    Well written, great characters, and with the groundwork laid with the multi universe premise, this show should get better with season 2.

    Back when I watched WandaVision I was thinking there is no way MCU can make a show better than this. But even that show had some problems, the most notable being S. W.O. R.D. And the unnecessary exposition. Here, however, there wasn't a single problem I could point at. I just finished watching it, which I did in one sitting, so everything is still fresh in my mind as I write this review. IBack when I watched WandaVision I was thinking there is no way MCU can make a show better than this. But even that show had some problems, the most notable being S. W.O. R.D. And the unnecessary exposition. Here, however, there wasn't a single problem I could point at. I just finished watching it, which I did in one sitting, so everything is still fresh in my mind as I write this review. I was expecting Loki to be just a quick cash grab meant to cater to the fanboys (looking at you Black Widow!), but that couldn't be far from truth. For me Loki outdoes WandaVision to be the best MCU show for now.
    I'm gonna keep this review spoiler free, so that if you haven't watched it yet and you are just looking for reviews to know what all to expect. Loki is set around the titular character and his misadventures when he does something he isn't supposed to. The movie begins from the scene from Avengers: Endgame, where Loki picks up the Tesseract and makes his escape. He gets caught by the TVA (Time Variance Authority; I'm sorry if I spelt it wrong). At first they decide to punish him for messing with the sacred timeline, but then they decide to take his help to prevent another Loki from destroying the sacred timeline.
    Loki has everything one would want it to have. The CGI is awesome just like any other MCU movie; until now I had been thinking The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has the best CGI among all superhero shows but this is way better. It actually feels like watching a long movie - the same entertainment with a more detailed lore. The comedy scenes are absolutely bonkers. There were many scenes where I had to pause the show to laugh, especially the scene where Loki uses the salad to explain the apocalypse timeline. The only thing that bothers me about this show is that after Loki gets captured in the first episode, he never wears his costume ever again. Sure it was disintegrated, but he could use illusions to create another one whenever he wants.
    The best thing about this show is that it finally introduces the multiverse to the MCU, the one which will be shown in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness and Spider-Man: No Way Home. And there's even going to be a Season 2, which is what makes me more excited about this. One of my friends is a toxic MCU hater and even he liked this show (he watched it before me and recommended it to me). That's how good this show is. I'd definitely get a Disney+ Hotstar subscription whenever the next season comes.    … Expand

    Son unas duras declaraciones, viniendo de las increíbles WandaVision y Falcon, pero es lo que siento, cuando terminé Loki, sobre todo ese penúltimo episodio, pensé que era lo mejor que había visto en cuanto a series hasta el momento, y así lo sigo pensando 2 meses después de haberla acabado.

    De lo mejorcito son los personajes y su desarrollo, son geniales, con grandes incorporaciones, tanto a nivel de reparto como a nivel de los propios personajes y lo que aportan en la serie.
    Por poner alguna pega, las coreografías de los combates, son bastante malillas, siendo honesto, cosa que por otra parte entiendo, ya que Loki no se define a sí mismo por ser un gran luchador, pero aún así, sigue teniendo escenas de combate que podrían estar mejor resueltas.

    · Cosas buenas: Lo juguetona que es, lo bien que está construido el misterio y como te lo narran, el ritmo también es trepidante, los personajes de verdad que son de lo mejorcito, y además, todas las posibilidades que ofrece el final de la serie, las ramificaciones que se pueden dar en el UCM.
    · Cosas malas: Quizás, al durar tan solo 6 episodios, puede que la construcción de los personajes y su evolución, se haga algo de forma apurada, nada notable. Además, lo mencionado previamente, las coreografías de combate son malillas.
    · Conclusión: es una serie muy espectacular, te deja con muchas ganas de más, y es un total must, lo dicho, mi favorita de las 3 que llevamos.    … Expand

    It was one of the worst things I've ever seen in my life, I've never seen a script so lost in time, they tried to put together a puzzle that only created more doubts than answers, apparently everything will have to be explained next season, although it seemed that was not scheduled. I hope the screenwriters have watched "Silver Surfer" or "What If" to make a decent script.

    Ultimately it wanted more than it could give. Despite an intriguing premise and pilot it feels like a rushed after thought. The characters feel like shadows . The plot unabashedly predictable with episodes failing at producing anything of worth. Even the cliff hangers weren't as defining as they thought they were. The set work felt abysmal. Loki feels like what happens when the ideasUltimately it wanted more than it could give. Despite an intriguing premise and pilot it feels like a rushed after thought. The characters feel like shadows . The plot unabashedly predictable with episodes failing at producing anything of worth. Even the cliff hangers weren't as defining as they thought they were. The set work felt abysmal. Loki feels like what happens when the ideas surpass tge feasibility. From sylvie killing a singular unguarded vulnerable man and setting off a multiversal war is just one of the plot hole conveniences. Tom Hiddleson's poor acting do little to rescue this sinking ship. I'm very dissapointed. A lot of good ideas were discarded.… Expand

    This show surprised me. Not for what it did, but for how good it did it, and how it got there. I knew from Ms. Minute's first speech on the timeline that this would set up something bigger. But it not only did that, but it also did it greatly. The acting was great from Owen Wilson, Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino. Everyone brought their A-game. I hope to see more of Sylvie, and her andThis show surprised me. Not for what it did, but for how good it did it, and how it got there. I knew from Ms. Minute's first speech on the timeline that this would set up something bigger. But it not only did that, but it also did it greatly. The acting was great from Owen Wilson, Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino. Everyone brought their A-game. I hope to see more of Sylvie, and her and Loki's chemistry.     This probably the 2nd best show the Disney has made on there own streaming service.

    All of the ep with the exception of the last, are great, scenery, music, Atmosphere, acting, and story telling are all there for 10 out 10 but it is short, and the last ep didn't really do much compared to previous episodes. I hope s2 get back on track and rocks the whole way though.

The acting was phenomenal especially from Owen Wilson, Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tara Strong, Jonathan Majors, Wunmi Mosaku, Jack Veal, and Jaimie Alexander. The writing was excellent especially the story and the character Sylvie. The music was superb especially the open title. The sets especially the TVA were spectacular. The costumes, makeup, and hairstyling were exceptional especially on Owen Wilson, Tom Hiddleston, and Sophia Di Martino.… Expand

LOKI creates a sense of optimism for the future of Marvel. Tom Hiddleston is still as charming as ever in his role as the mischievous villain we all know and love. But I would even argue that Own Wilson's Mobius steals the show from LOKI in most ofThis show is more fun and way more entertaining than the MCU shows before. This show embraces the crazy side of the MCU and sprints with it. LOKI creates a sense of optimism for the future of Marvel. Tom Hiddleston is still as charming as ever in his role as the mischievous villain we all know and love. But I would even argue that Own Wilson's Mobius steals the show from LOKI in most of the scenes he is in. The show has waky episodes and with pacing that is a bit inconsistent but by the end prove to be still essential in the overall arching story. The finale pays off all the character's storylines but still leaves enough hanging for more crazy adventures. A must watch for a die hard or casual MCU viewer.… Expand

    A truly entertaining show. It won me over with the humor, craziness, great characters and story. I will say a lot of the appeal comes from the awesome cast, ideas and performance. Lets start at the beginning: Since we watched Avengers Endgame we all speculated what Loki would do. There were a lot of theories and when the show was announced we were hyped. It fully delivers with the firstA truly entertaining show. It won me over with the humor, craziness, great characters and story. I will say a lot of the appeal comes from the awesome cast, ideas and performance. Lets start at the beginning: Since we watched Avengers Endgame we all speculated what Loki would do. There were a lot of theories and when the show was announced we were hyped. It fully delivers with the first episode and kept going strong during the whole show. However it is not perfect as I see a few weaknesses in the script and maybe a few plot holes (For the later I am not sure if I just over-analyzed some stuff). Story: Because of the meddling of the Avengers in Endgame with time travel a past version of Loki from the end of the first Avengers movie is on the run with the Tesseract. However his escape ended faster than he could imagine as he is approached by a group of uniformed people who came out of a portal. This is the start of a crazy enjoyable adventure. The story is full of ideas, fan service and great acting. It works well enough that I will ignore the few flaws it has. I don't mind these if the result is this entertaining and satisfying. Also the character development is truly convincing, believable and entertaining. Cast / actors: This is for me the greatest strength of the show. We have a great Tom Hiddleston as Loki. He is a charming scoundrel and so entertaining to watch. A really strong performance but the rest of the cast is equally good. Owen Wilson as Mobius is the yin to Loki’s yang. They work well together and their discussions and barters are excellent. A truly convincing performance. It ends not there as Sophie Di Martino almost steals the show. It is hard to chose which of the 3 characters is the best. Then we have Gugu Mbatha Raw as Ravonna Renslayer and Wunmi Moskau as hunter B-14 (yes that is her name). Both are intimidating and excellent. For the characters that appear lesser I want to especially praise Richard E. Grant and Jonathan Majors for their incredible performance. In total we got here an amazingly strong performance and there is nothing to criticize for me. Presentation: The show has an amazing style and there is a high production value. They put a lot of effort into the sets, special effects and design. On top of that there is so much fan service in form of references and easter eggs. This attention is praiseworthy and enhances the atmosphere. The soundtrack is sneakingly good (= You miss this if you don't pay attention). Humor: There is a lot of good humor in the show. Being it Loki being Loki, situational humor, absurdity or gadgets used for punishment (You will notice the scenes trhat I referrence here spoiler free ;-). The humor enhances the experiences too and is another big strength. Negatives: Like I mentioned there are a few scenes where the script could be a bit ironed out. For example in one episode they had to downgrade the character abilities but it resulted in an enjoyable episode with good character interactions and development. The conclusion was awesome on one hand but also a (very) small disappointment on the other. However I liked it enough to not decrease my rating. Overall I say this was an amazing show and I liked all episodes. Would fully recommend the whole show to friends. I say it is worth a 10/10 despite some flaws for the characters, humor, ideas and the heart and soul that was put into it.… Expand

This blink and what’s next culture is gonna be the death of all of us. These are the same dummies who said Wandavision was boring because it was in black and white

This audacity needs to be commanded! I suspect the aim is to capture a new market: grown-ups, i.e. mature people that look down on the super-hero genre. And despite lame asides, lazy jokes and actingEp 1: It's terribly satisfying to see Disney simply eviscerate the whole so-called MCU and make all all the previous movies moot.     Ep2 and 3: Well, what a disappointment. The former Rick and Morty writer desperately tries to create an existentialist Super hero story and it feels noisy (non stop talking), bloated, self-indulgent and ....cringe. Better watch the original Rick and Morty season 5 than this.    … Expand

    The first episode was really interesting and set up a lot of ideas that could be promising for the series. The second episode followed up on some of those, but started losing steam. By the third episode, the show is lost, has little mystery, and absolutely nothing happens.

    Meh. I like the TVA look, but that's about it. Episode was fine, and I was looking forward to more time in this neck.of the Marvel woods. 2 was not near as good, and 3 was garbage. Sylvie is annoying af and ruins what little interesting the plot has to offer. A plod is more like it. Too many "deep" conversations.

    Watch two episode so far and i am trowing in the towel.
    Its to slow for my taste, and dialogue just bad at times.
    I don't like any of the characters, not even Loki.

    Keep expecting something in line with the movies, but Disney keeps pushing out this half baked goo.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This show from a production and acting standpoint is good, that's not the problem, Disney has the money to pay for effects and talent. The problem is the story this show is pushing from this episode alone invalidates every part of the MCU's story. The villains aren't evil, the heroes aren't good, everything is just a predetermined straight line of events that will be repeated by the TVA until the events turn out how they want. Tony Stark didn't make his suit because he wanted to escape the cave and become a hero, he made it and did all that because some interdimensional space lizards would have him melted for not following their preordained series of events.… Expand

    Hiddleston and Wilson are perfect screen partners. ... And yet Loki still felt limp. The introduction of variants and timeline laws managed to be both overly knotty and explained away, and the lack of either Marvel-esque combat or quirky subtlety rendered the episode a little unambitious.

    If there are any minor quibbles – a slightly hand-wavey explanation of some time travel rules, a couple of dodgy accents, some slightly low-key action scenes – they’re easily outweighed by the performances, world-building and general confidence of this series. Right now, it’s the best Marvel Disney Plus series so far.
