His dastardly plots to destroy any new guardian the children go to live with must be foiled before they end up dead by his hand. Luckily, the children, even baby Sunny, are creative and possess extraordinary intelligence that rivals even Olaf's steadfast determination. The rest of the novels in the series, slated to eventually be made into a sequel to the film, are The Miserable Mill, The Austere Academy, The Ersatz Elevator, The Vile Village, The Hostile Hospital, The Carnivorous Carnival, The Slippery Slope, The Grim Grotto, The Penultimate Peril, and The End.
