This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Like the title says, the show was fine until the semi finals when the round ended and another team was set to go home until it was the judges’ favorite team that performed worst. So the judges decided just not to send them home, yet they didn’t do that for any other team at any other time. I can’t complain about the first round with no team getting eliminated because the show said it was fair which it was and it was to act like a lesson to the teams. Expand

Dump and flush ASAP! Like this is a worthwhile use of anyone’s time.

Bad doesn’t come close to describing it.

if you like legos and building them and things like raspberry pi and Arduino this show will make you sick. the contestants are all freaks and the show is far more of a reality show than a master builder show.

If you’ve seen some amazing LEGO sculptures and wonder who does that sort of thing, LEGO Masters will be a good insight into master builders’ skill set and thought process.

If LEGO Masters can ease up on the “Fox”-iness of it all and lean more towards the good-natured creativity of GBBOrather than a cut-throat competition over playing with toys, then it should find success because the talent and production values are there. Arnett makes for a charming host, the judges speak with expertise, and the builders are the real deal.

The premiere feels so sluggish — I could barely see what the contestants were putting together, only quick cuts across their displays while they fussed over whether to choose a duck theme. To combat this, the producers cleverly include some fun stop-motion segments to bring the Lego minutiae alive, but these brief vignettes are far and few between. ... Arnett's signature unctuousness is awkward here, as he tries to insert self-deprecating (but still ultimately self-involved) humor into the proceedings.
