Season 1 Review:
[McDermott's Captain Dave] is the most interesting guy in the skies, so it’s cool that he doesn’t have much of a life on the ground. Moreover, it’s fine with the audience that these traits are a bit formulaic because McDermott is having so much fun filling in the rest. It’s unclear if that will be enough to sustain a series in need of some tweaks, but there’s more than enough here to justify watching.

Season 1 Review:
Like much television comedy, and like the flight it portrays, L.A. to Vegas has a routine, milk-run reliability. The trip is relatively free from turbulence, there are some things to see (and treats from the service cart if you’re lucky), and you are back on the ground almost before you know you’re flying. There is something to be said merely for not crashing.

Season 1 Review:
With jokes about strippers, quickie weddings and niche conventions, the show certainly doesn’t have a sophisticated or original take on Vegas. Its take on air travel is slightly fresher, but for the most part it occupies the same sitcom level as the budget airline for which its characters work.

Season 1 Review:
Two days into 2018 and we have a frontrunner for the worst new show of the year. LA to Vegas (the official title doesn't have periods, which sounds like a line this show would turn into a joke) is shockingly bad. Not the kind of show you should watch just to see how awful it is, but definitely a show so bad that someone at Fox should be fired over it.

Season 1 Review:
I don’t think I’ll see a worse new comedy in 2017 than FOX’s LA to Vegas, a strikingly unfunny piece of television that produced not a single laugh for me in its 22-minute premiere. ... I watched the premiere with such a stunned look on my face that it would have been funnier if FOX just recorded me and aired that instead.
