Jun 27, 2013Having followed the trial I was disappointed. The trial itself was much more riveting than this film. It felt as though the movie was rushed to TV since so little time was spent on the post-arrest story. This story would have been better served as miniseries or at very least a two-parter. The acting was quite good but this was not enough to raise this TV movie above average.

Jun 24, 2013This is an entertaining, well-directed and well-acted made for TV movie with special mention going to Tania Raymonde as Jodi Arias. Having following the trial, I believe it is a fair representation of the both Jodi Arias and Travis Alexander as it doesn't fall in the trap of depicting Jodi as being all evil and Travis as saintly.

Viewers who were glued to the trial may note a misplaced detail here and there, but in general they are likely to find this 87-minute movie a solid summation of Arias’ disintegration.
-
Lifetime chose to tell a by-the-numbers tale of passion gone wrong rather than the potentially compelling (if lurid) courtroom story that played out on news channels for weeks earlier this year.

Mostly, it feels like a big missed opportunity.
