It's my favorite TV-show! It's has everything you ever wanted. A post apocalyptic word, drama, action and the story behind the people's coping mechanism. Just awesome!

Jericho is one of the more interesting sci-fi series I've experienced. It's a cult classic among fans and I know the reasons why. The characters are something to relate to and the subject matter is thought-provoking. Too bad this series lasted two and a half series. I recommend the Devil's Due/IDW comic spinoff of any fan who wanted to continue the story. I hope to see more of theJericho is one of the more interesting sci-fi series I've experienced. The writers must not do much research for this show or else think the average viewer has an IQ of 90. Mountains in Kansas--uh huh. Radiation rain and people going about their business right after it stops. Yep. No one grieving--but party it up at the bar-b-q! Please cancel this soon!

I agree with "Anonymous" who gave it a 3. Too many things made me go "huh?" Many things in this show were simply ridiculous and contrived. With all the hype I was looking forward to the premiere, but was very disappointed. I decided to give it another chance, and thought the second episode was a little better. I admit to being sucked in to see what would happen next. But overall I saw bad acting, bad dialogue, no characters to whom I could relate, and everything seemed so phony. Couldn't the writers at least do a little research about nuclear explosions and their aftermath, fallout shelters, etc.? For example, don't they know that sealing doors and windows with plastic sheeting and duct tape is for a GAS attack and would be no protection at all against nuclear radiation? Air doesn't become radioactive. Radiation from fallout dust particles acts like invisible light, and doesn't turn corners. What is needed in a fallout shelter is simply mass (metal, earth, wood, bricks, etc.) above and on all sides, and a long entrance that turns at least one corner. No door is even necessary. I think that only people who have low IQ's or who are able to suspend their reasoning abilities will enjoy this show; the rest of us will be too frustrated by all the incorrect details and bad acting. What if Disney made a disaster show and used the typical bad lines with the cliche father estranged son dynamic and (dramatic pause......) added a mysterious african american man with the answer to everything hmmm.. I guess you would get Jericho. Shows like this is why Scifi type shows get a bad wrap. B actors and C- writing.

Jericho does what no other show does... gives hope. With the very real threat of terrorist attacks in the US, Jericho shows us all that even though the world may be in chaos, we can still bring out the best in ourselves and others. The informative episodes have caused preparations to be instigated in my own home... who knows, if the end does come, Jericho may have single handedly saved my family.

Fantastic show with great writing, excellent characters, a lot of action. Too bad shows like this often get cancelled so we can get more "So You Thing Your Monkey Can Dance With the Stars" crapola. Add this to the list of great cancelled shows like Invasion and Threshold, Sarah Connor Chronicles and The Unit. I'm waiting for the hammer to drop on Fringe.

Interesting premise, although I can do with less father/son histionics in the first episode. The second episode was better, and I enjoyed seeing a show that presents characters as resourcful, intelligent and competent. CBS really blew it canceling this series. While not critically loved by all the pundits, the fans loved it. And a dedicated fan base shouldn't be dismissed lightly. Case in point: Star Trek. (Please note, Im not comparing this series to star trek, but the fan's dedication is very similar.)

It started off slow, but it is a gripping story and so far it has had me glued to the screen for every episode.

Jericho is the first show since "24" that has kept me coming back for more. I wasn't aware of the show until several weeks into the season. Fortunately, CBS has posted all previous FULL episodes online so I was able to go back and watch from the beginning.

Hey Fred F, you might be suprised to find out that there are in fact extensive salt mines in Kansas. Especially around the Hutchinson area - that's where Morton Salt is/was headquartered (although they're supposedly in Western Kansas, but alas, it's close). Some mines are used for storage due to the temperate conditions, some very old original film reels are stored in Hey Fred F, you might be suprised to find out that there are in fact extensive salt mines in Kansas. For some reason I catch myself watching... kind of like watching a train wreck, you want to look away but for some reason you can't.

Great show remember this is FICTION and Entertainment if you want reality watch A&E or the history channel. Great new idea asks some good questions and good cast I expect it to get even better if they let it run a bit and give it a chance.

Totally implausable distance from Denver. Salt mines in Kansas give me a break! Dialogue is a joke plot just plain lame!

A creepy premise, but the execution is god awful. WAY WAY WAY too many scientific goofs. And the people don't act like they're in a nuclear holocaust, which goes straight to the directing.

Too many setups and I mean that in a bad way. Is it compelling? Yes it is in a few ways, but that does not outweigh the poor writing

Much better than I expected or critics led me to believe. Few gave this show a chance to survive but it ran a strong second in the ratings to the Dancing w/ Stars results program which is encouraging. Hopefully the second episode holds up just as good.

The great potential the show has is the plot and drama it could produce. But the liablities of the show seem too weighty at least after two episodes. First, make it more adult both in drama and writing. Trying to make a PG armageddon sort of is an oxymoron. Armageddon is not family viewing so why make it that. Plus, hire new writers. Develop characters better...stop jumping around so much The great potential the show has is the plot and drama it could produce. Get rid of the blond girl (who the prisoners messed with) out, and replace her. She can't act and is not real looking. The story is set in a small Kansas town near Colorado border....so why only whites with one black family. Make it real. The plot is great. I want the show to succeed, but please make changes fast. This show will die early if kept on the same track. Expand

  1. A catastrophic nuclear crisis never looked as boring and convoluted as it does here.
  2. "Jericho" doesn't pretend to be artistically risky, but it's got a scary and gripping theme in an age of terrorism and nuclear thuggery.
  3. Jericho works when it sticks to the eerie surreality of a nuclear attack... The show, unfortunately, flops about in its first two episodes, leaning too heavily on the action-adventure stuff.
