    It's exhausting to watch this show.. The animation feels so average, the pacing is all over the place, the intro sequences are jarring and the episode always ends but then continues. I don't know how this show got past quality control or how it's got such a high user score. I'd assume it's that Amazon army that got leaked about.

    Just love this show. Robert Kirkman never disappoints. I was a little surprised with the timeline shift from the comics.

    Invincible is a one-in-a-million superhero show. EVERY character is compelling, even the small-time baddies who make an appearance. The story is rich and morally complex. The casting is perfect. It’s brutal and funny and sad and surprising. If you have enjoyed other R rated superhero properties, this one is definitely for you. If not, Invincible just may make you a convert.

    A very promising start. The animation is overall good with some fantastic and brutal fight scenes sprinkled throughout. There are also, some very good choices for music and the characters are overall very interesting. Quite a few questions arise which keep the show interesting while making the viewer guess what will happen next. Excited to see where this show goes!

I know very little about the comic book but it's made me curious and interested to give it a read. Hopefully, if the show gets more popular, more views and more positive reception Amazon might be willing to put up the budget and really deliver some great visuals. I also think it's worth mentioning that I've always wanted to see a genuinely explicitly violent power-fantasy superhero show before (with mature thematics) this is probably the first example I've seen of that so far. I kinda hope this does well and really allows for more creative/bizarre animated comic-book adaptions. An example is that I would love to see something like 'The Goon' given an animated show or something...less violent, more mature.… Expand

    Bizarre this gets such high marks. Kinda the same old crap with a Watchman/Boys derivation, except those shows actually had depth and pacing. I love Simmons, but can't help thinking his voice doesn't quite fit the antagonist; really wish I knew who else had been considered. would have loved to hear Nick Offerman's mustachioed voice beating the **** outta superheroes.

    It's a decent show similar to young justice or teen titans. The story starts to drag as the season goes on. And every episode has an ending and then needlessly inserts a cliffhanger that is never followed up on. Which makes you want to stop watching.

    It's a nice enough show, but the weekly episodic release is a significant hurdle. This is not how we watch TV anymore. It's not the 80s.

    Another example of something committing the cardinal sin of entertainment. Being boring. Its hard to find a reason to root for these dollar store knock offs of DC comic heroes. The comic books do so much better of a job drawing the reader in than this show does entertaining its audience.     The trope of super heroes in high school is WELL worn territory and Invincible does very little to separate itself out from the tropes it leans on.

    The sad thing is there is a LOT of talent in this production. The animation style is somewhere between DCAU & contemporary anime. The cast are skilled actors in their own right. The problem is that all the acting talent in the world cant make a dog of a script good.

    Then there is THIS specific script. Dont expect to come in seeing something akin to an animated version of The Boys. While the first episode panders to that demographic it quickly abandons it in favor of something far more repulsive. Had they stuck to the source material a little more faithfully this show might not be that bad. There are a few genuinely good moments. Overall though the show feels bland and generic most of the time.

    Then there is the elephant in the room. The woke sociopolitical commentary lecturing you inside your entertainment. This seriously has to stop. Its ruining everything it comes in contact with its toxic rhetorical ideology. Many of these characters are already panning out to be shells of their source material. Normalizing hate filled rhetoric like 4th wave feminism. It also seems like there is a set up in the works for a big reveal that greatly diverges from the source material that has yet to be unfolded. Purely speculation at this point and Its best left at that for now.

    Had it not been for the hateful preaching the show would have came away with a run of the mill 5/10 OK, nothing great. Nothing you havent seen done MUCH better elsewhere. The toxic agenda being preached however knocks 4 points off the score leaving it at a very appropriate 1/10. Honestly the only thing that merits the 1 point is the voice acting. Everything else is either bland or terrible.

    Now, that is based only on the first 3 episodes. If the remainder of the season reigns that in, Ill gladly edit the review and adjust my score accordingly. Otherwise, based on the first 3 episodes unless you are an avid fan of this comic book, just skip SuperWoke all together. You are better off.

    Interesting until you hit episode 3. Then it turns into liberal trash. 4th Wave feminism, villains that double as gender studies professors, race swapping, gender swapping, it's liberal fanfiction.

    They couldn't have done this better. As a reader of the original comic I was skeptical, but so far it has been really really good. Artwork is spot on. Voice acting is great. Even the storylines are original and differ enough from the comic to keep me interested. It is one of my favorite ever comics come to life and I'm really happy with the results.

    Recommended by a friend. I found it pretty trite and fairly shallow. Its just a mash up of different yet also readily identifiable things. Like the general concept is Justice League with a dash of DBZ but this also extends to the characters -whether they are primary cast like Invincible (Superboy with a dash of Peter Parker) or supporting like Damien Darkblood (Constantine/Hell Boy).Recommended by a friend.     Some initial attraction lies in the unexpected twists, but even those grow thin. Surprising the audience isn't difficult when you have total control over all the information, how you portray it, and when. For the very young there may be some novelty encountering story archs and themes they either won't recognize or care are derivative but I imagine for most adults this will be received as mediocre fare.

    It's just a cartoon. Nothing special. 5/5    … Expand

    2021 was a great year for animated tv series.
    Incincible is one of them: an unexpectedly good super heroes cartoon for adults.
    Plenty of drama, action, gore, plot twist.
    Original and fast story progression.
    it is better that some live action series.
    Good Job, I hope in a season 2 and i will search for the comic books

Ich liebe Marvel, aber bei mir kommt langsam eine Monotonie bei den Marvelfilmen. Ich bekomme immer mehr das Gefühl "da geht noch etwas". Invincible macht daher alles richtig. Klar habe ich auch ein paar Sachen zu bemängeln. Zum Beispiel konnte ich bei einer Folge nichtEine sehr sehr gute Serie, die endlich mal eine schöne Abwechslung zum ganzen Marvel-Kram ist.     This was a blast to watch, the characters and story were great and I really enjoyed the interaction between invincible and his dad.The twist's were done for the most part really well and the fight scenes had such a heavy feel to them that it was just brutal, give it a go it will be worth your time.

    the animation is top class It felt like improved by each episode and the soundtrack/music was brilliant, the story was amazing amazon literally got some serious **** about superheroes stuff its no exception, The Intro's were Fun the Cut to invincible as they are just going to say it and the blood split on title and blood getting increase with each episode it was awesome and the post credit esque tease of next episode at the end was awesome too, The action and blood and gore were satisfyingly awesome The 1st episode ending fight,The other planet fight and little fights in the earth and the whole ending fight it was badass, each and every character was brilliant,the teenage stuff was fun and the whole superhero stuff was awesome. the 1st episode and the intro with such shocking twist at the end was insane,the justice league esque team Murdered by superman esque omni man, the "Little superboy's" Mark's journey his relationship with friend and partner and the love triangle at start was beautiful, the twin villians were amazing there robot stuff and jail escape was awesome and the teen team and new team was good, the Omni man's mission was little predictable although him and mother were amazing, the cecil's hq team and the alien stuff was awesome, The demon's investigation was amazing cameo, The Alien fight and the age factor of loss was intriguing and there fight with team was amazing, the mars mission was entertaining although the insect conquering planet plot was left maybe for S2, the 5th episode was thrilling and the team's such brutal fight and titan's twist was shocking,the college episode was Fun Teenage episode with mad student/scientist it was amazing and the last 2 episodes were insane the robot thing and the immortals entry with the mother finding about omni man murder and the whole cat and mouse thing at last was enteraining,the ending was satisfying with omni man's quiting earth and mark's and his mothers setteling and the mark and friends getting together specially with the space friend it was an awesome end.Overall it was a Epic and insanely awesome Tv show not less of a Masterpiece,Really hyped for epic season 2.    … Expand

    Really good show. Definitely a binge-watch. Really appreciated the action and the characters. It also was able to balance the humor with a sense of dread and horror. The gore, while a lot, almost felt necessary. Amber was a pain and almost seems like the writers were trying to maker her unlikable, but otherwise, no complaints! To me, this was a better version of the Boys!

    Ever since this show was announced, somehow I had a hunch that this was going to be epic. I got an Amazon Prime subscription specifically to watch this. And wouldn't you know it, it turned out to be exactly what I was hoping it to be. In the recent years I have grown really into superhero stuff movies, TV shows, video games or cartoons. And now this is my favourite adult cartoon of allEver since this show was announced, somehow I had a hunch that this was going to be epic. I got an Amazon Prime subscription specifically to watch this. And wouldn't you know it, it turned out to be exactly what I was hoping it to be. In the recent years I have grown really into superhero stuff movies, TV shows, video games or cartoons. And now this is my favourite adult cartoon of all time.

    Amazon Prime chose to release this episodically every week. If this had happened a year ago I'd have been really pissed, but because of shows like The Boys, The Expanse and American Gods, I had grown used to this format. Every time I got a notification telling me that a new episode was out, I word immediately watch head. That is how much I loved it. And each episode embedded in my mind so powerfully that I didn't even need to watch the recap in order to remember what happened in the previous episode.

    The story was filled with surprises, right from the first episode itself. In the beginning of the first episode it seemed as the Mark's struggle is only going to be about him trying to get his superpowers which he was supposed to get at this age. When he jumped from the roof of his house expecting to fly I was expecting him to fall down just like any other cliched superhero show (I am looking at you, The Tick!). But it turned out the story went in a completely different direction. Mark grayson was like a mix of Superman and Spider-Man, someone with indestructible powers trying to manage his is regular life. And his father, although initially appeared to be like an ideal superhero, turned out to be what Invincible was meant to fight against.

    The animation, the music, the voice acting, even the title card - everything about this show is definitely worth a praise. You can actually see that the creators of the show must have made a lot of effort trying to to replicate the charm of the comics on the screen. After having taken my Amazon Prime subscription I have started reading the comics on Kindle. This show has been very true to its source material which is something we normally do not see in superhero TV shows or movies as they expect that certain things will not be adapted very nicely on the digital screen.

    Invincible is a cartoon that I would highly recommend to anyone who is into adult superhero theme something which is slowly catching wave as time passes by (The Boys, DCEU, Brightburn, The Tick, Doom Patrol, Titans, Netflix Marvel etc). This is one of the good ones that shall be remembered for time to come. I can't wait for the next season.    … Expand

    It's been a long time since a show captivated me like Invincible did. I was glued to the screen the entire time. And what happened at the end of the first episode completely shocked me. I had no idea it was going to happen, I didn't know anything about this series.

    La animación y el dibujo, así de primeras, son impresionantes, se hacen muy familiares, como que tienen un estilo Ben 10, seguramente sea hasta el mismo estilo.
    Hay muchas escenas que son tremenda locura, he visto pocas cosas tan buenas, súper sangrienta y cruda, me flipa.
    Eso sí, conforme va avanzando hay tramas secundarias que me hacen perder un poco el interés, quiero la chicha, no    La animación y el dibujo, así de primeras, son impresionantes, se hacen muy familiares, como que tienen un estilo Ben 10, seguramente sea hasta el mismo estilo.

    Eso sí, conforme va avanzando hay tramas secundarias que me hacen perder un poco el interés, quiero la chicha, no encuentro nada interesante en ellas, y los cliffhanger no son demasiado buenos tampoco, hay muchos episodios autorresolutivos, como en las series de los 90s, el problema, que esta tiene 8 episodios y no 22, tiene que ir más al grano.
    La conclusión es regulera, se nota que está hecha a modo de puente de cara a la segunda temporada, yo preferíría que hubiesen cerrado el tema, porque así no me convence, yo quiero un final digno.
    Cosas buenas: la animación, es espectacular, al igual que los personajes, la música s muy buena, y el humor que tiene es súper particular.
    Cosas malas: se puede hacer algo repetitiva en solo 8 episodios, a causa de unas subtramas muy aburridas. Además, no es apta para todos los públicos, tienes que saber lo que te vas a encontrar antes de verla.
    Conclusión: es un pepinazo de serie, que por momentos decae, solo espero que lo que se venga mantenga esta calidad, que es espectacular.    … Expand

    Definitely one of the best TV series of recent years (also counting those in live action), it is certainly not over yet so it is clear that it is a "temporary" opinion, but it has kept me attached to the screen as it has not happened for years, every episode is INCREDIBLE, full of twists and brilliant ideas, absolutely recommended, expects the end to sum up but it already smells like aDefinitely one of the best TV series of recent years (also counting those in live action), it is certainly not over yet so it is clear that it is a "temporary" opinion, but it has kept me attached to the screen as it has not happened for years, every episode is INCREDIBLE, full of twists and brilliant ideas, absolutely recommended, expects the end to sum up but it already smells like a masterpiece.… Expand

    Cuando supe que esta era una historia de Robert Kirkman no la quise ver, en mi mente pensé que seria una completa porquería. Paso el tiempo y varios amigos y familiares me la recomendaba, así que opte por ver el primer capitulo, el cual me encanto, así que la seguí viendo hasta el final.
    Esta serie es muy buena, los personajes son muy interesantes, y el que más resalta de todos es omni    Cuando supe que esta era una historia de Robert Kirkman no la quise ver, en mi mente pensé que seria una completa porquería. Paso el tiempo y varios amigos y familiares me la recomendaba, así que opte por ver el primer capitulo, el cual me encanto, así que la seguí viendo hasta el final.
    Esta serie es muy buena, los personajes son muy interesantes, y el que más resalta de todos es omni man (que seria como una versión de superman), el desarrollo de los personajes esta muy bien estructurado, y el twist que tiene al final de la temporada es muy bueno, esto hace que tenga un buen cierre.
    Emocionado con la segunda temporada, solo espero que Kirkman no decepcione como lo hizo en TWD.    … Expand

    In a time when superhero burnout is at an all-time high, Invincible is a refreshing change of pace. The character's are great and the family dynamic is excellent. The best amazon original so far and one of the best modern superhero media.

    Invincible will have you sucked in by the end of the first episode with great action set pieces, but will really hook you in with the human elements. Rest assured, this is so much more than just another superhero cartoon. No, this is humor, mystery, drama, romance and science fiction, all rolled up into one absolutely addictive treat.

    From its slick animation to its excellent voice cast, it's a winner from top to bottom. And just when you think you know exactly which direction it's going to explore, it pulls the rug out from under you in a truly exciting way. The long-running comic series couldn't have been made into a better serialized format, and if the rest of the show is just as interesting as this one, Amazon has quite the hit on its hands.
