Summary:
Set in 1932, Ralph Whelan (Henry Lloyd-Hughes), private secretary to the viceroy of India moves to Simla for the summer where his sister (Jemima West) draws the attention of Aafrin (Nikesh Patel), a Junior Clerk in the Viceroy’s office and WWI veteran Darius (Roshan Seth). Also in Northern India town for the season are socialite Cynthia Coffin (Julie Walters), who runs the Royal Club; Douglas (Craig Parkinson), a teacher at the missionary school; his wife Sarah (Fiona Glascott); and Scottish tea plantation heir, Ian McLeod (Alexander Cobb).
