    S1 was ok. S2 is nearly unwatchable. I skipped a few episodes in the middle thinking it might improve toward the end--no luck. The story makes little sense and moves slowly. All of the characters are angry and argue with each other constantly. The weather is dark and dreary in each episode. With a little more creativity a much better story could have been written utilizing this premise.

    Great story , Great Characters , Great acting. You Tube struck gold with this. Keep it going.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The second season was a bit worse than the first, but that's pretty normal. The acting was still good, however, the problem is that after the first season the characters finally got together after everything that happened, but are then again thrust into arguing. Jenna's arc about her homosexuality was unnecessary, it was added to create more tension, but it was not for the benefit of the story. Also Henry's fear of the truck and Clay was overrated in the second season. Sure, she could have been raped, but she really wasn't. Most people would simply forget that and move on. But Henry keeps coming back to it like it was the end of the world for her. It should have been finished by the end of the first season.

    Overall, it isn't as captivating as the first season, but is far better than most TV series sequels turn out to be. There is room for improvement and I really hope that the writers return to the first season's darker style. Even if they don't, at least continue deepening the parent-child relationships of both families and creating some real tension with the other characters.    … Expand

The acting is worse too which is hardly surprising considering the cringeworthy cheese the writers have the characters spew out. Worst of all is that it's mind-numbingly boring.

    It was amazing. I hope that YouTube will order another season. This is one of my favorite tv shows ever.

    Whether it’s a simmering threat or one delivered at gunpoint, “Impulse” still keeps its sense of danger present at every turn. When that uncertainty pushes Henry and those in her immediate orbit towards a fresh understanding of their circumstances, the show is better for it. “Impulse” has laid out a few different pathways to its bigger picture. Now, it’s just a matter of jumping toward one.
