This show is pretty good but a definite step down from Big Mouth. Keeping the focus on the monsters is a less rewarding experience because the balance between the two worlds is what made Big Mouth great.

I hated Big Mouth so its no surprise to me I didn't like this. Reminds me of Family Guy, which I also don't care for.

If you're a fan of Big Mouth, this show is basically the equivalent of a cake made entirely out of frosting. The monsters are great in Big Mouth because they add a layer of absurdity and extravagance. Even then, it could work if the monsters themselves had enough appealing, well-formed characters, but none of the new characters are particularly interesting, and the ones we know lose a lot without their human counterparts.… Expand
