Summary:
One of the wave of "dramedies" that began proliferating on TV in the late 1980s, this short-lived but critically acclaimed series from the creators of L.A. Law (Steven Bochco and Terry Louise Fisher) stars John Ritter as a San Francisco cop who inherits a run-down apartment building. The half-hour show is mostly played for laughs (without a laugh track), and divides time between Hooperman's professional and personal lives.
