Narrated almost as theater play in a claustrophobic scenery with a very few impossible but probable characters full of humanity. Highly recommended. Full Review »

Just when I had lost faith in fictional comedy television, this gem appears - often hilarious, perfectly performed, quirky, oddball, clever, fun, confident, and above all else, human. It takes just the right amount from all these attributes, and more, and adds them together in a perfectly relaxed, modest way. With some of the best acting I've seen in a British comedy series since the fantastic Green Wing (Tovey is the best here as Steve, combining realism and honest acting with a pitch-perfect talent for comedy), and a cleverly solid set-piece in the apartment, reflecting the couch-potato lives of the lazy pair, everything here adds up to make a wonderful little series; something quiet and subdued, proud to be so unknown (which makes it even better), but ready to reward fans with its ample originality and creativity. It really is superb - a personal favourite. My faith in TV comedy is finally restored. Full Review »

The series is all good fun, unlikeable characters (with the exception of Him [Tovey] & Her [Solemani] ) but doesn't take itself seriously enough. I mean, it's a like indie film being too experimental, this comedy is trying to be weird by taking too many risks or turns. But the leads make up for its faults, especially Tovey whose performance in the last episode is probably the highlight of the entire season. Season 2? I'm not so sure. Full Review »
