I value this even higher after the X-Files, Lost and Game of Thrones final seasons. The quote “All’s well that ends well” is true for nearly every medium. The conclusion must be fitting and satisfying. Back to this season: It continues the story from the last seasons final and it gets really intense. This time Duncan has an enemy even he might cannot beat. This arc and conclusion alone are worth my money. I like the resolve and philosophy behind it. Beware this is a double edge sword. You will praise it or be disappointed without a middle ground. They also tested if a female immortal can work for a spin off. I would fully agree that it can work. There are multiple female characters with interesting backstories you can develop further. Sadly the final result was not good but this is another review. For me they again delivered good stories, moral dilemmas and create interesting characters. The settings, special effects, costumes and soundtrack are again really good. It is a staple of the show. Its like going to your favorite restaurant. You get what you want and enjoy. Overall it is more of the same in an entertaining way. It thought about decreasing my rating because it is a shorter season but with a satisfying conclusion I wont mind. My recommendations / favorite episodes are. “Avatar” and “Armageddon” for the story arc, resolve and intensity that pushes the characters to their limits, “Patient Number 7” for the idea and character of Kyra might be a better choice for a spin off, “Unusual Suspect” for the who done it story, humor and ending, “Justice” for the moral dilemma, emotional story and conclusion, “Two of Hearts” for a good story without Duncan (also a good choice for a spin off) and the final episodes “To Be” and “Not to Be” for a satisfying conclusion.… Expand
