I was hoping to like this, but no. It was just a couple of rich so called celebrity's moaning. Market came across as narcissistic and Harry, not very bright and a puppy dog. Harry obviously has low self esteem and needs help. It wasn't a documentary, just basically a pity fest! I don't think meghan can accept that people don't like her. Arrogance and self pity just turns people against her. She has an excuse for everything and can't understand why people can't believe her stories. Her curtsey story is quite frankly, ridiculous. She's not cut out for the royal life style. Stick to b rate acting. No grace, just says what she thinks people want to hear. I wish Harry would wake up, grow up and realise how he's being manipulated.… Expand

I was expecting some exciting royal tea. It’s absolutely dull as dishwater!! Just seems to be focused on Meghan’s life story in these first three episodes which is so boring (soz Meghan).

I managed to get through the first 7-10 minutes of the first episode - apart from 'Why?', I wanted to know what the couple was paid for the unnecessarily protracted tell-nothing tale of Poor Us. In the few minutes I watched, I was struck by the self-absorbed Ms. Markle and her handling of 'our' story. Harry's mom, the People's Princess is now in thrall of the TV Princess, a suitable match, I guess. Netflix has garnered huge viewership, I have no doubt, but it speaks cynically of them to dedicate so much in aid of so little.… Expand

Self-obsessed, disingenuous and completely lacking in self awareness, the two privileged millionaire grifters take the Netflix dollar by attacking the press and British monarchy with this completely one-sided "documentary". You know what you're in for when the very first frame, telling you the palace had declined to comment, is a lie. Truth is they were never offered the chance to respond. 3 hours of self-pity and not one single admission on their part that they did anything wrong. Three years after they left they are still banging on about how hard done by they are. Harry is stupid (and thoroughly emasculated), Meghan is a textbook narcissist and as a couple they are dull and sanctimonious. Harry's creepy obsession with his dead mother is off-putting to say the least; a middle aged man who at heart remains the little boy walking behind his mother's coffin. If the British royal family is so racist, why are they clinging on to their titles? It's because without them, nobody would be interested!… Expand

Stock photos in order to pretend they are assaulted by paparazzis, videos of other people, lies or different version of events every time they open their mouth (cheap version of Groundhog Day). Moking the late Queen with that ridicolous courtsey (from someone claiming a degree in Intenational relations) is beyond ridicoulness. Trash.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It is unfortunate that review sites are being swamped by haters who haven’t even watched the series. I recommend that you watch it and make up your own mind. This docuseries moves slowly, but it is well produced and surprisingly managed to hold my attention for all six episodes. The series gives you the chance to see what Harry and Meghan are really like as people. I always empathized with their situation, but this series actually made me like them. There are also many false claims spread by the media and internet trolls that are debunked by Meghan's friends, family members and associates, who finally get to speak up on her behalf. This is a very genuine caring couple, and I think their move across the pond was a huge loss for the royal family. There are a few reveals about the royal family, but it was nothing major and nothing that I hadn’t suspected already. Most of the negative comments were targeted towards the family as a business, rather than comments specifically targeting individual members. The worst players were the press and the British tabloids that went to great efforts to fabricate stories and foster hate amongst the public. At one point when talking about the press and all the death threats, a tearful Meghan says: "I'm a mom. That's my real life. And that's the piece when you see it and you go, 'You are making people want to kill me. It's not just a tabloid. It's not just some story. You are making me scared.'” You can then understand why the issue of security was so important to them.… Expand

The director is covering a number of themes - race, the press, misinformation and where those intersect with privileged families - that are hard to analyze in depth in just six episodes. But all this is lost to the press surrounding the documentary series. Which is a shame, because if pro-Royal folks lowered their defenses, they would find it brings up very necessary and valid points that society at large are talking about.

What I would love to see is a documentary with the women in the Royal family, speaking honestly about their experiences.… Expand

The tales of woe from doe eyed Harry, amount to nothing more than a mild case of sibling rivalry, a rivalry common to anyone the world over who has a brother or sister. It just shout’s jealousy from every orifice. The couple lack an enormous amount of self and global awareness, moaning that their FREE house was not grand enough, in the midst of a worldwide economic meltdown that is seeing many people choosing between heating and eating, disgusting. Add to this the clearly disturbing behaviour of Megan desperately trying to mimic the dead mother of her husband, interspersed with TikTok style dances and false reassurances that “we are just like you” and this farcical “documentary” should be shelved without hesitation. If I were Netflix I would cut my loses and not bother with this self indulging self pitying drivel.… Expand
