After being disappointed with the first season, I was looking forward to this, hoping it would improve upon the first season. It doesn't. It's more of the same but a bit worse.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The second season is boring and predictable. The first season was all about Harley proving that she is not a sidekick but as dangerous as any other super villain in Gotham. It was funny and inspiring . Now it's all forgotten. She just wants to be in a relationship again and that's all. Expand

I think this season was even better than the first. With Harley (voiced by Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco) having dealt with the baggage of the first season, she gets more of a chance to breathe free with her chaotic self. Not to say there isn't still some good personal growth and character moments.

Harley's relationship with Poison Ivy (Childrens Lake Bell), a ying and yang situation, remains a high point of the show. The voice actresses do such a good job. The writers make the wise decision of regularly reusing the top two recurring characters from last season, stressed-out Commisioner Gordon (L&O: SVU's Christopher Meloni) and weirdly affable Bane (James Adomian). They remain pretty funny. Unfortunately, Harley's spirited ex-spy, landlord Sy Borgman (Seinfeld's Jason Alexander) is used a lot less.

I did get a little tired of the high civilian death count. I know this is a dark comedy about supervillains, but it still felt like overkill. Also, I did feel the last handful of episodes dropped a little in quality. It was a situation of trying to move the pieces around and resolve things a little too late in the game.

Overall, if you loved the first season, you'll love this.

The first season's job of establishing these characters, the tone of the show and the overall direction was done very well, and now the writers can add new characters, have fun, and develop new relationships between the old ones. I love where this is going, and cannot wait for more.

This season is incredible mixing romance, metacommentary about superhero content as a whole, and just plain good-humored fun poking fun at character’s powers and motivations.

Harley Quinn's season 2 was even better then the 1st, still the best adult cartoon I've ever watched. The writing is exceptional; it's hilarious, I liked the added emotional weight of this season especially with Harley's story, and the character development especially with Harley, Ivy, and The Joker were superb. This show is amazing. It's about as perfect of a comic book adaptation as has ever existed. It's action packed, sentimental, thrilling, funny, and isn't problematic (which is rare considering DC's track record for everything). Harley is a fully fleshed out character the story line is super compelling. Watch it watch it watch it.

A big improvement on the often impetuous irreverent arcs in the first season. Harley is given more space to develop as a character as well as her dynamic with her gang feeling more natural . The unexpected live triangle between poison ivy ,Harley Quinn and Kite man is not as exciting as it could've been and the animation style hasn't justified how plain it feels.

There’s a giddy “while the cat’s away the mouse will play” mischievous energy, and more space than ever for Harley’s character arc and relationships to take center stage. It’s crazier than ever, relentlessly playful, funny as hell, and an absolutely delightful spin on the fan-favorite characters of Gotham City.
