Very good show and very good main act. Really enjoy all this mess. Deferentially not for children's or very sensitive peoples. But others im pretty sure will be... Happy!

This show is a wonderful mashup of things that don't normally work together. Barney meets Scarface, Tinkerbell meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Imagine Power Rangers as the victims in snuff porn, , , who wouldn't want to see that?

Terrific TV - surreal, irreverent, hilarious and surprising with terrific dialog. Chris Meloni had a small part as a hotel clerk in "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" in a tour-de- force performance that gave us a glimpse of why he is Nick Sax - it is gratifying to see him given the opportunity to flex his acting muscles in Happy! Chris Meloni had a small part as a hotel clerk in "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" in a tour-de- force performance that gave us a glimpse of why he is Nick Sax - it is gratifying to see him given the opportunity to flex his acting muscles in Happy! The surreal musical vignettes are brilliant and reminiscent of Dennis Potter's "The Singing Detective" - a brilliant 1986 British TV show with Michael Gambon (there is a less well-received 2003 film version with Robert Downey Jr. that I haven't seen). Also, with Sax's increasing decrepitude resulting from the appalling punishments he withstands, I am reminded of the very witty "American Werewolf in London." Happy! also brings us some outstandingly skin-crawlingly horrible characters to nail-biting and hilarious effect, particularly "Smoothie" played by Patrick Fischer. Happy, the little blue unicorned horse voiced by Patton Oswald, is a brilliant invention of the author, Grant Morrison, and artist, Darick Robertson. Meloni/Sax and Happy the horse are such a captivating team that I miss them in scenes where they don't feature - the one criticism is that some of those scenes lack the snappiness of the rest of the show, or certainly the first 3/4 episodes - maybe they could have sacrificed one episode to keep up the pace. But still, I'm now at the 7th episode and continue to be enthralled and with only one episode left of Season 1, I am very curious as to what they have in mind for Season 2 which is, seemingly, in the works. Amazing show. Very dark, graphic, but interesting and humorous as well. Chris Meloni, as usual, did a great job. Kudos. 8.5/10

Among the best new series this season. This horse goes a LONG way to filling the dog shaped hole that was left at the end of FX's Wilfred.

A series full of action and brutal comedy, but quite poor in writing that becomes repetitive, predictable and ridiculous. The music and special effects have nothing remarkable, you can watch it only for the brutality but it would still not be worth it.

Changed my score after realizing that even though this is a flashy unconventional show, after having to shut off the last episode midway, it has no redeeming qualities whatsoever

Amazing first season - if you love Deadpool you'll love this. Gloriously violent and moves at a frantic pace. The slapstick still works for horror (Ash vs Evil Dead) as it works for crime. That Brian Taylor is crazy. Patton Oswalt too, does a good voice-acting job

Brilliant in its simplicity adaptation of a twisted comic book of the same title. A haunted, brutal and hilarious story of a crazy guy who sees a fictive friend. You had to have fantasies to create something like that and persuade that TV would agree to such a production.

    Really fun.
    Strange, unconventional dark comedy.
Lots of violence, good action, politically incorrect and scathing police-drama satire.

The kind of ridiculousness I love. A bit heavy on the violence but it goes with the topic.

It's very nice and watchable TV series. Well only for adults but it's entertaining, with interesting concepts rarely visited before, and also 4th wall breaks. Also very charismatic main character so there is that going for it. Overall I can't even give cons to this only one. That some times it feel very slow paced and it get's boring. Extreme, weird, and just crude at times, Happy! is something different from the rest of comic/crime adaptions for TV. It will be interesting to see how far this can go before running out of steam.

Happy! communicates such joy in filmmaking that the show seems graceful and airy even though the material is mostly leaden. If you’re able to view Happy! mainly as an exercise in style and attitude, with a brilliant lead performance, you’ll find a lot to admire here.

Happy! has those films’ [the Crank movies] wild, pell-mell sense of pace and jittery, overcaffeinated style. But the series’ scripts are smart about undercutting the wild mayhem and constant introduction of new ideas with a bittersweet holiday angst.

Meloni’s performance and the strength of the source material will keep the show afloat for interested viewers. But based on the first two episodes, it’s an acquired, specific taste.
