The script is on point and the acting above average. I actually binged the hole season in three days. It takes the universe from the movie and expands its mythology. Overall it's more than worthy the investment

What started out as a pretty decent series, pretty soon to verges into a teeny bopper teenage soap opera. Way too much time spent on Hanna's exploration into her teenage exploration, and not enough on The adventure of the original series. Ed in a bunch of politically correct silliness, and you've got a pretty dull series. Expand

I wasn't quite sure what to expect going into watching Hanna but I was pleasantly surprised, moved and entertained by this series. If you are a fan of the espionage thriller genre/borne identity then this is for you.

Season 1 and Season 2

This is a TV series primarily for a teenage audience – especially teenage girls. Any others might enjoy it, depending on their entertainment preferences. So, my rating is within the genre of teenage girl action drama.
Season 1 and Season 2

This is a TV series primarily for a teenage audience – especially teenage girls. Any others might enjoy it, depending on their entertainment preferences. So, my rating is within the genre of teenage girl action drama. Not exactly a high bar.

I couldn’t pass up seeing Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman acting together again. They were leads in The Killing and were excellent. Mireille Enos plays Marissa Wiegler, the CIA operative put in charge of the original UTRAX program and Joel Kinnaman plays Erik Heller, a former CIA operative who worked for UTRAX. They are key to making Hanna worthwhile entertainment.

I thought season 2 was going to be a let-down with the absence of Kinnaman – but, I was very pleasantly surprised at the strength of the season2 actors.

I was very impressed with Yasmin Monet Prince as Girl-249 / Clara Mahan, a trainee at the UTRAX facility who becomes Hanna’s friend.

I also enjoyed:

Cherrelle Skeete as Terri Miller a social media organizer who manages UTRAX trainees

Áine Rose Daly as Girl 242 / Sandy Phillips, a trainee at the original season 1 UTRAX facility who is transferred to the Meadows in season 2.

I really enjoyed Anthony Welsh as Leo Garner a CIA agent responsible for handling ULTRAX trainees. At first I though I was going to dislike his acting and then started to understand how he was doing his role. I very much enjoyed it.

I ended up thinking I liked season 2 better than season 1 and the absence of Kinnaman was acceptable.

Had some moments but just ended up being ok. The acting and production value was very good but the story kind spun its wheels near the middle.

First season was very cool. Mireille Inos is amazing as well as Joel Kinnaman. But second season is a trash..... The black girl is acting absolutely horrible. Dialogues are stupid and useless

Farr, now able to tell his story via a series, takes the time to give us a deeper understanding of these characters and the complicated web that pulls them together. Esme Creed-Miles and Mireille Enos are the absolute standouts on the show. Their chemistry on screen is one of the more powerful mother-daughter realtionships portrayed on screen. At first antagonistic and with many a fraught silence; and then, evolving into something more. Their acting chops cannot be denied. Joel Kinnaman also holds his own with these high caliber actors.

The show consists of three acts representative of Hana's growth. Season 1 represents Hanna's childhood, her adolescence in season 2, and finally coming into her adulthood in the final season. There is plenty of exciting and well choreographed fight scenes, political intrigue, and the more rare silent moments that viewers will appreciate with their desire to connect with Hanna all the more. The pacing can be a bit lackluster towards the middle of a season, but the six episode 3rd season was a powerhouse finale that never misses a beat. Overall, it's a fantastic series and one of my favorites to date.

Really good series, probably because it's not made and produced by americans, a really good international cast makes this series worth watching.
